    Needed to get high quality audio from TV to older sound system. My old solution created an audible hiss in feed. With this converter the hiss is gone.

    I had an old cheap 5.1 Surround Sound system with R/L audio input and a newer tv that required I use an Optical Audio output so this was the perfect fix

    Had to get a new TV, existing receiver still has the red/yellow/white cable connections-never fails! Glad Best Buy still sells the converters, since I know they're all about current stuff, latest & greatest. But not everyone can afford the replace EVERY component when one goes out.
