This optical to coaxial audio output converter is excellent, and it works great!! Our TV only has a digital audio output, and our existing surround sound system only has analog coaxial inputs, so this converter saved us a lot of headaches, plus it works great!! The sound is crisp and clear!! And is it very easy to install....only takes minutes!!

Insignia - Optical/Coaxial Digital-to-Analog Converter was used to set up my Bose system to my new 65 inch tv, and it works perfectly. Nothing difficult about the hookup, very easy and simple. If you have a older product that you want to work with a newer one, go get the converter, it works great. It's not that expensive either. Very reasonable. I highly recommend the converter.

We had three sets of analog headphones that worked on our old TVs through the sound jacks. Our new TVs did not have analog output so I purchased this converter and a 4 foot cable. Really easy to hook up, just needed an outlet to plug the unit in then plugged it to the back of the TV and hooked up our analog headphones and the sound is perfect. Took about 5 minutes

I wasn’t sure at first but once it was all plugged in I got sound immediately and smooth clear sound

We have had this device for about 30 days and so far it works great and easy assembly. Great directions. We used ours to connect the TV in the bar to a Sonos so we get surround in the bar and throughout the downstairs. Make sure tv advanced settings are set to PCM or it might not work with newer. TV's.

Great adapter to go from my TV to my receiver to play optical digital out through my surround sound system. The down side is that it goes from optical 5.1 down to stereo RCA. It doesn't give you true 5.1 digital surround out, but it does at least get the signal to my receiver. If you don't have an optical input on your device, this is a great way to convert to get it to work.

Optical Digital to Analog converter worked, to connect the Optical audio TV output to my receiver's analog input. There are higher quality, much pricier converters on the market, but unless your a serious audiophile with thousands spent on audio gear, this one works well, at a much lower price.

I bought a Klipsch soundbar, which sounded very flat to me. I added a cheap 8-band equalizer, which tremendously improved the Klipsch's sound. The problem then became that I needed a converter to fit between my TV (digital audio out) and my equalizer (analog audio in). The Insignia was easy to install and works great!

My dad has an analog tv and wasnt getting certain channels. Easy hook up and now enjoys watching other channels.

Bought the splitter for my headphones because my Samsung Smart TV only had one audio out port. Works will and reasonable price.

I have an old JVC receiver from the 1980s my whole stereo system is from the mid-80s and the only way for me to connect my new Sony X9 50 was to do it through the optical and this unit allow for me to do so and it works very well it is great my sound is wonderful specially now doing basketball conference play.

Samsung is getting cheap on their new, high tech TV's. I bought a SUHD TV and wanted to connect it to my sound system, however, Samsung no longer includes analog ports. I bought this D/A Converter, connected it, turned it on and, presto, all was well with my old sound system. I have one problem and I'm not sure if it is the TV or this converter. Being a "smart" TV, I can choose other sources to switch on. If I go to YouTube, the Internet, or some (but not all) alternative sources eg. Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc, I get a horrible buzzing that goes away if I switch back to the TV's audio. Bottom line for me is that it is an inexpensive fix to my problem and a minor inconvenience. I just wish I knew what's the cause of the incompatibility.

This item converts any of your digital output only products to analog output which allows you to connect your new device to products such as your stereo receiver for a zone II connection which still requires the analog connection to share this audio with other zones. This item is very easy to connect and it is priced right making this a very good purchase.

It’s a good price for the easy to use converter. I use it to convert audio from optical cable out from smart TV to have regular standard audio cable into old system speakers.

Does exactly what it claims it will do. Enables me to use my wireless analog headphones with my new Samsung LED TV. Sound from the wireless analog headphones is outstanding used the converter. Very happy because is allows the use of analog with digital.

Simple device that allows you to connect your wonderful old amp to today's devices which most often have an optical audio out connection but do not have any outputs which will connect to your wonderful old amp. This allowed me to achieve wonderful sound with my old sound system which , without this adapter, was simply unavailable to the t v.
