I needed a converter from the optical output of my tv to analog for the Bluetooth transmitter for my hearing aids. This was exactly what I needed at a great price and easy to install.

I have bose speakers that are anolog I bought a Samsung 4k TV that is digital sound output I thought I would have to buy new speakers that are digital then I found this converter on best buys website works great I even hooked my amazon dot to my speakers with this converter with a few spliters

Only audio output on LG 65UJ, is optical. This allows me to go from digital optical to analog/RCA output, for Bluetooth headphones and other analog gadgets. Works great - excellent quality - excellent price. Fantastic BBUY stocks it. Thankx!

Not bad at all. Not as nuanced as a schiit audio dac but warm sounding. This is coming from a guy that has $1k dac. Seriously for 1/5 the price no issues. Great converting dig out from TV. I used it Chromecast streaming music from TV to my vintage receiver.

Thanks to Best Buy and the guys at Geek Squad for bringing my old school Klipsch component stereo back to life and giving me the finest surround sound I've ever heard in a home. This little digital to analog converter turned my living room into a full blown movie theater, along with the ability to drown out my crummy neighbors and their little dog to! I had a regular old soundbar initially, but with the new 75" 4K t.v., it just didn't do it any justice. A bit like driving a Ferrari, but in a parking garage if you know what I mean. But now, I'm wide open on the autobahn with the top down and nothing but that sweet Italian chorus singing in my ears! Thank you thank you thank you!

This is actually the second one of these I have purchased and they work fantastically. You just plug it in and go. You can buy more expensive ones but I think this has really good sound so to me there is no point in spending more money when this delivers what you want.

I use a wireless headset connected to my tv output. Bought a new tv and new tv's don't have that output Any longer. Thought I was going to have to ditch my headset and buy a new Bluetooth. But the salesman showed me this. 30 bucks I stead of 300+!! Great!!!

Converting the optical audio output of my TV to analog allows me to easily split the analog output and send it to multiple devices such as a sound bar and a Bluetooth transmitter which allows me to use Bluetooth headphones. Easy to set up - plug and play.

This unit is exactly what I was looking for! I have an older Yamaha receiver, and a new Sony smart tv, so I needed to convert from optical to analog in order to enjoy hearing streaming music and music videos. When you plug this unit in, it stays on all the time, so I used my switched outlet on my Yamaha so it turns off with the power.

Great product. Easy to use. Although I did return it. The reason I returned the product is because when I hooked up headphones i could not control the volume. I purchased another product, a wireless headphone.

I needed to split my optical audio out to my hearing aid device and my soundbar. This product worked very well. Took 2 of them, split my optical out to each box, then sent one to my hearing aid device and the other to my sound bar. Works very good.

I had a pair of turtle beach headphones from like 2011 or 2012 that still used RCA cables. Lo and behold this little guy is able to convert it to digital audio for modern TVs that don't have RCA outputs. Works great!

I have a legacy PIONEER sound system with all kind of inputs and great sound. The new TV with Optical or Coax sound output would not work with my sound system. The Insignia D to A converter solved this problem. Great product, nice price.

Needed a converter to connect our old Panasonic home theater system with RCA connections to a 4K TV with only an optical connection. After reviewing several brands, I went with this one. It's an inexpensive little converter compared to some on the market, and was readily available at my local Best Buy to try. When I initially connected it, there was nothing but static (much like the other poor reviews stated). After a little research, I found I had to change the TV default audio settings, now there's no problem with sound! Saw other reviews where the audio sync is a little off from the video, but I haven't experienced any sync issues. Definitely happy with this purchase and really enhances our 4k experience!
