Recently got Direct TV. I wanted to run the audio through my stereo system, which is all analog. The TV set box supplied only had a digital optical out for audio. This audio/digital converter is what allows the one to talk to the other. Simple to install and 100% effective.

Works exactly as expected. I have a large surround sound stereo system for movies and a small media bar for everyday listening as the tv speakers are sub par and there are limited plugins from the television. With this device, I was able to utilize all of the equipment. I only deducted 1 star due to having to unplug the power to the device to reset it once in a while when the surround sound occasionally loses connection to the device. A simple power reset and we are going again.

As I was in the process of buying my new Sony 4K TV, the salesman thoughtfully asked if I wanted to connect with an amplifier. When I told him I had a Bang & Olufsen, he suggested this converter. When the Geek Squad tech came to install the TV, he was pleased the equipment was ready to install. Although the sound quality of my TV is excellent, it's great to be able to have the sound coming through my active B&O speakers.

Right on time and great item, used it to hook up my mom entertainment system she updated her tv but not the surround sound equipment she liked her speakers but this item helped and made her happy. Jaime the representative there I think she’s a manager she help me with the pick up she was awesome and made the pickup fast and smooth

The sound quality is great and it’s loud as well. The only con side of this product is that, it doesn’t has a volume control and you can’t control the volume with your tv remote once connected

I purchased a new TV that had optical audio out only and needed to connect my older Bose surround system. this works great. Easy to connect and works great with all TV systems/channels (OTA, Netflix, Amazon). Great buy, glad I came across it.

We got a new tv and was trying to connect it to our old sound system. The optical input was not making a good connection to the sound box so we decided to try this converter out. It worked perfectly with our new tv. Now we can enjoy surround sound.

I have bose speakers that are anolog I bought a Samsung 4k TV that is digital sound output I thought I would have to buy new speakers that are digital then I found this converter on best buys website works great I even hooked my amazon dot to my speakers with this converter with a few spliters

Just what I needed to connect the TV to the stereo. The TV had no RCA outputs and the stereo had no optical input. Setup was straight forward with no surprises.

I needed a converter from the optical output of my tv to analog for the Bluetooth transmitter for my hearing aids. This was exactly what I needed at a great price and easy to install.

Only audio output on LG 65UJ, is optical. This allows me to go from digital optical to analog/RCA output, for Bluetooth headphones and other analog gadgets. Works great - excellent quality - excellent price. Fantastic BBUY stocks it. Thankx!

Not bad at all. Not as nuanced as a schiit audio dac but warm sounding. This is coming from a guy that has $1k dac. Seriously for 1/5 the price no issues. Great converting dig out from TV. I used it Chromecast streaming music from TV to my vintage receiver.

This is actually the second one of these I have purchased and they work fantastically. You just plug it in and go. You can buy more expensive ones but I think this has really good sound so to me there is no point in spending more money when this delivers what you want.

salesperson took me directly to the product I had conveyed I was looking for...the one they had was not way over-priced compared to what I had looked at online and it was incredibly easy to get it to do what i wanted it to achieve

I use a wireless headset connected to my tv output. Bought a new tv and new tv's don't have that output Any longer. Thought I was going to have to ditch my headset and buy a new Bluetooth. But the salesman showed me this. 30 bucks I stead of 300+!! Great!!!

Thanks to Best Buy and the guys at Geek Squad for bringing my old school Klipsch component stereo back to life and giving me the finest surround sound I've ever heard in a home. This little digital to analog converter turned my living room into a full blown movie theater, along with the ability to drown out my crummy neighbors and their little dog to! I had a regular old soundbar initially, but with the new 75" 4K t.v., it just didn't do it any justice. A bit like driving a Ferrari, but in a parking garage if you know what I mean. But now, I'm wide open on the autobahn with the top down and nothing but that sweet Italian chorus singing in my ears! Thank you thank you thank you!

Converting the optical audio output of my TV to analog allows me to easily split the analog output and send it to multiple devices such as a sound bar and a Bluetooth transmitter which allows me to use Bluetooth headphones. Easy to set up - plug and play.

I needed to split my optical audio out to my hearing aid device and my soundbar. This product worked very well. Took 2 of them, split my optical out to each box, then sent one to my hearing aid device and the other to my sound bar. Works very good.
