After connecting the converter box to the optical TV cable, and plugging the RCA headphones into the converter box, and setting the TV sound to "internal speakers + optical" the headphones worked fine for several days. But then they stopped working. I reset everything a couple more times--started working again, but then fizzled out. Had to return this converter box. Ended up buying new headphones with optical built in. Am trying those now.

My dad asked for me to buy it but after I bought it he was happy with the device. Im not sure what exactly was it I heard alot of static when he was trying to set it up. It could be the device or it could be my dad not knowing he was doing. Thats why I gave a 4 our of 5.

Had to purchase this to connect to my new Samsung TV. It does the job, sometimes there is some interference and crackling but that is easily fixed by pressing the "auto tuning" button a couple of times to reset the connection.
