This little gem lets me switch between the two by unplugging the speaker and then plugging in the headset.. Too many TV's don't have enough hookups to have everything plugged in at once so this takes care of that issue. Optical cable goes from the TV to this splitter and then your wireless base gets plugged in for the audio out. Perfect
