There was nothing apparent on the packaging that would have informed us of the missing cable, discovered this at home after purchase. Required a 2nd trip to Best Buy and another purchase. Thank goodness a knowledgeable person at Best Buy directed us to the correct needed cable.

Thought we were going to have to return the tv we just bought because our stereo we use for surround sound is analog and our new tv didn't have analog out. So we googled and found this. Works just as described but the only complaint I have is the optical cord fits loosely in it and you have to be careful not to knock it out. But nothing a little tape can't fix.
