Optical cable does fit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In response to previous reviews regarding the optical cable fitting loosely, that because all optical cables come with a protective rubber tip on each end that you have to remove, otherwise the cable will never fit correctly. I suggest optical cables come with explicit instructions to remove these tips, otherwise it is very hard to figure this out as they appear to be a normal part of the cable. I hope this helps.

Fits the bill

The digital-to-analog converter filled that role nicely. My only complaint is the lack of a power switch. I have to unplug it while watching cable due to the unsynchronized signals.
