    This item works very good the only problem is once a day I have to pull the power plug, To get my surroundsound to work, I’m not sure if that’s what it is because it didn’t come with detailed instructions

    This ended up working exactly like it was supposed to. The problem was I was pretty much on my own with it. What the Best Buy employee told me to do didn't work; I was just about to box it up to return it when I did something neither he nor the guy at the sound bar help line told me to do and it was fine. Also, don't buy an extra cord with the red and white plugs on it. There was one in the box.

    It worked. I have surround sound once again. The previous converter, different brand, gave out after a couple years. I do wish it eas compatible to work through optical output instead of just coaxial cable, but you can't have everything.
