Did not resolve the issue after buying a new TV.

Adapter works great

The only issue I had was during initial install, I plugged in the power and two cables and couldn't get any sold. I was about to take it back but busted out the directions and there is a switch for coaxial vs optical = User Error. Besides that, its worked great for me.
