This converter works great BUT... make sure you set your audio settings on TV set properly! Can't even remember what they were but it didn't work until we changed the settings. Zoric, the store rep showed us what to do and told us to take pics of the screen at the store so we knew what to look for when we got home!

Bought this to use my old Pioneer unit with my new tv.

Both my buddy and I thought either our TVs didn't have audio out or our head phones were obsolete. After reading reviews and this purchase of a DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) both TVs and headphones work great. 1 is hooked up using a optical cable that was an extra purchase and the other using provided RCA cables.

Worked to connect my optical output on my tv to my older Bose speakers. The only problem I have is that if I want to switch from tv sound to my speakers, I have to turn everything off and then turn everything on with the converter on or else I get a static sound.

I had to buy this product to link my external speakers to the TV. It worked Perfectly for TV sound. However it did not link sound for items played through the TV, like my phone, tablet, or computer.

This thing is worth the money if you don’t mind a rare (very rare) bug that makes nothing white noise I’ve had it for almost a full year now and it’s happened only twice and was fixed by simply turning it off and on again

I came in looking for a solution to my problem. I had something in mind that I thought would work. After talking with the Best Buy assistant, he gave me a better long range alternative. Although the cost was considerably higher than what I really wanted to spend, it was the best way to fix the problem.

I bought this converter to try not to buy a new sub speaker because my sub does not have a digital outlet to connect to my 2019 tv so i bought this to see if I could be able to convert it and so behold it did what I expected. I did not made a bad purchase awesome buy

Fantastic converter! I purchased a sound system for an old tv and was not able to receive sound from the TV to the sound system. This little converter did the trick! It worked in an instant with no trouble or stress. Genius!

Insignia has produced a nice, convenient Optical/Coaxial Digital-to-Analog Converter. I like the black color for it goes well with my digital devices. It gets used frequently.

The TV we bought was low priced for what it had but only had an optical out for audio. Buying this was less expensive than finding a TV with multiple types of audio outs or buying a surround sound. My wife uses headphones to listen to TV

My new 4K TV did not have any RCA plug type audio outputs for me to connect to the Bose Speaker system. Since the TV has a digital output, I purchased this converter and I am able to enjoy the Bose speakers once again

This is what you need to connect your digital TV signals to your analog Sound System that you probably have spent a lot of money on in the past...

Had a fuzzy dull sound and volume was a challenge to control. The options were nice. But I’m just goi g to stick with my audio engine DAC. Better quality than this box

Bought this because my Panasonic TV Had only a single optical audio out but no analog audio out to connect my wireless headphones. Also my older receiver had no available audio out as well. You might combine this with an optical splitter if you want to maintain you digital audio to your receiver.
