Best Buy helped put this together. TV into one end and the red white cables into the other. Works great. My wife likes the fit of her headphones and this TV does not have Bluetooth. Cost very little for the unit. Thanks to Best Buy crew.

Only wish I'd known about it a few years earlier. Went w/out the sound system since the purchase of a new TV w/optical sound output. Was about to buy a new sound system when I stumbled accross this converter on the internet.

Gets the job done. Our TV did not come with an optical input so I needed this device as it allowed me to connect our Visio sound bar to the TV’s COAX input. It has been working flawlessly.

The above summary with this added: but it does not work for sound from my apple TV which I have hooked up to HDMI 4. Sennheiser Tech support said to replace the Insignia with a Wiistar Digital Audio Decoder to Analog (with SPDIF/Toslinkk 3X1 Switcher),which I did. The result? I didn't get ANY sound from any cable channels, so I Switched back to the Insignia. I told Sennheiser about this, but have not heard back from them yet. The Wistar looks like a better piece of equipment, but I guess it is not.

This little box allowed me to use an optical cable for better sound.

Got a new TV for Christmas with no RCA jacks for my wireless TV headphones, but this handy little device worked great and solved the issue! Hopped on into my Local best buy store on Christmas Eve morning at like 5am yes they were open !

Needed for connection with TV audio and blue tooth transmitter for wireless head phones. Works well, but must be unplugged or next day all you get is static noise. Unplug, replug next morning and your good to go.

This product works great. However it did not work the way I wanted it to for my application. I did not realize the optical output of most tv's is not a variable output. This would work great if you are going directly into a sound bar that has it's own remote & volume control.

Would have rated great on this one but we had to return the first one when it stopped working. Felt like a bad connection from the start. Second one fit better.

Needed it to connect to tv with optical audio output to an older Bose speaker system with RCA plug inputs. Deducted a star because it seemed a little pricey for that task.

This is a great little devise that will enable you to hardwire your headphones to your tv without using Bluetooth, if you so desire. It does all of that with a remote and fiber optic cable at a very reasonable price.

I had been trying for about 3 weeks to figure out how to get sound out of my old school model projection screen tv. The gentleman that helped me was a life saver after i showed him pictures of the hook ups i was using! Now I am able to watch sports games with the audio!

Great product, done what I needed and was easy to install

I love analog audio for some reason... I don't know why, but I do. This allows me to quickly convert my digital TV to Analog audio so I can run it through my surround sound... just love it!

I would have given this converter 5 stars if it would have came with an optical cable. Pay attention to your tv settings when using this device..worked as advertised..

I got this item as my older HD TV had DVI output and the home theater had Coaxial inputs. This works very great so far.

Does what it says. Turns a digital signal to an analog signal. Great for older stereo systems that don’t have digital inputs.
