Works great, no audio latency from the video in the converting process. Highly recommended.

However certain devices will output Crazy static while turning on or if improper audio settings are selecting like bitstream or dolby. Pcm seems to be the only working output that eliminates the crazy sounds but nothing stops the device power up screeching. I therefore wait for devices to power up before turning on my Rca system. To avoid the heart attack noise that tends to always surprise you.

This would be an unnecessary expense if HDTV manufacturers added a headphone jack to their TVs like they used to.

Other than that, plan on replacing it at least once a year. I've bought probably five of these by now. I use it after a signal splitter to feed a second amplifier for in-wall and outdoor speakers.

I learned my soundbar can switch inputs without need of an adapter. Would recommend for someone who cant switch their inputs.
