Bought 75" Samsung TV but it didn't come with RCA jacks so had to buy this and Optical cord to adapt to my vintage, but powerful, stereo equipment. Works Great! Nothing like those BIG 15" speakers:)!

I bout this because I replaced a computer monitor with a 4K smart tv that only had fiber optic audio output, which I can use with computer speakers, let's just say it does exactly what it is advertised as and I couldn't be happier.

This saved me $300. After upgrading my TV, I refused to purchase a new home theater package if nothing was wrong with the one that I already have. This works perfectly along with the Optical cable.

Had to get for system without digital analog plug and worked as should.

This unit does exactly what you would expect it to do.

New 4K TV had optical output; older surround sound did not. This allowed me to connect the TV to the receiver and enjoy theater like sound in my living room from cable, blu-ray, etc.

They work well and sold for a decent price. I bought two and I’m happy with my purchase.

I Always buy my stuff from best buy because am sure of the quality. Sometimes I feel like the prices are high, but If I have to pay for something, I want the best.

This converter is just what the Doctor ordered. It far exceeded what I wanted it to do. If you have a need to have a converter this unit is the one you want. Get them while they are hot !

The Insignia - optical / coaxial Digital-to-analog converter worked as expected allowing me to use my existing receiver with my new TV that only has a digital optical audio output.

This device is without a doubt the best piece of hardware to connect an old school receiver to a 21st century DVD/Blu ray player. Keep the receiver and buy the conveter. Save your money saved for renting the DVDS

Works just fine. Wish the connection with the optical was a bit tighter. Nothing tape won't hold.

It worked just like it is supposed to. The loss in sound quality was minimal and this will certainly bridge the gap until I can get a new receiver

Great audio converter when you need it, won't be disappointed.

I need an adapter because me receiver doesn't have a co- axel input.

It works really well to convert optical to digital. The optical cable doesn't plug in very securely but that seems to be a function of the cable and not the device itself.

Bought to use to connect a Sony speaker system to a TV. Speaker only have L/R audio hook up so this was a handy conversion to use both units together

This is perfect for hooking up an analog headset to a TV that only outputs digital optical.

My new TV has optical digital audio out. It does not have analog audio out. This fits the need perfectly. The main thing to remember is to change your optical audio out to the recommended setting. Otherwise it won't work.
