But for me this worked great. Wasn't huge or hard to put together. Build quality is very good too. I set it up on my roof and aimed it in the direction of the towers about 30 miles away from my home. I picked up over 50 channels and I sue this with my Sling Tv account. It worked great. Picture was clear and free of breakup. Audio was good too. It's a perfect low profile antenna for those people who don't want a huge ugly antenna on their roof. I'd guess it would work fine for most people who live within 50 miles from their towers.

GREAT ANTENNA

Receive 172 channels. All the major stations at high signal strength. Santa Monica to Los Angeles, Calif. Easy to setup and attach to a roof vent pipe.

The old one was great and got 43 channels with it. The Insignia-Outdoor High Gain Yagi Antenna works just as good BUT quite a bit more sturdy. I use it indoors by my big living room window hanging from the ceiling on a hook I can rotate. Used my setup from the old one to hook it up. All is good and get plenty of channels with being an average of 50-60 miles from most stations.

Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had already dropped cable, but when I moved out to the country my small "window" antenna just wasn't able to pull in some of my normal channels I was able to pick up in the city, at least not very well or reliably. After mounting this one and getting it hooked up, I'm now able to pull in all the previous stations, as well as several I didnt even know existed! It's a little flimsy feeling, but it hasn't fallen apart yet, and does what it's supposed to do, so i can't complain.

I installed this on top of our garage and wired it into the houses rear cable connections for the house. This did require a signal booster like the one we had with the leaf but the whole house has 60+ HD channels now. You will need a separate coax splitter if you have a Fios or Cable Modem since they do not play nicely. Just isolate the cable for the router from the cables for TV signal.

All indoor antennas did not work for me. I tried this one in the attic and still could not get all the channels. As soon as I mounted it on the roof and pointed in the right general direction, it worked great!
