For me, this battery doesn't seem to fully charge, no matter how long or how many times you charge it. It will only partially charge the battery and shows the battery level as a "Medium" charge on the XBOX. It only lasts 3 to 4 hours before I get the low battery level warning.

Much needed device. Hated changing out batteries for xbox controller. You do need to be gentle getting the battery in. It seemed slightly too big but I was able to get it in and works great.

It works ok. It charges as you play which is cool but without charging, battery dies in about a hour to 2 hours. For the price it was worth it.

Picked this up after getting a series x controller for my pc. It fits it perfectly. It also works on my older Xbox one x controllers. I don’t own all iterations of the Xbox controller so I can speak for other versions but it works well and holds a decent battery life. The long USB-c cable is great too.

Really great rechargeable battery for Xbox series x controller the only thing I wished I knew before buying is that you can cover this battery with the battery cover on the controller I thought it would of had been off because other rechargeable battery you have to stick the cable in the battery but with this one you can charge it like ps controller just plug it in on the top and boom charging and another reason I mentioned it because sometimes the white version of this battery is on sale and is like 5 dollars cheaper and i didn’t get it because I thought you couldn’t cover it up but you can so if you want to save an extra 5 bucks get the white color of this battery it’s only on sale sometimes but it feel like it’s on sale every other week

I've been using the official Microsoft Play and Charge kit since I bought the Series X last summer, but when I decided to pick up a second controller this year I had a hard time finding stock. Thankfully, BB had my back; this kit is a great replacement for the OEM device. Great battery life, solid length on the cable and it doesn't replace the stock backplate, so it won't ruin the visual of any limited edition controllers you might have. If you don't mind buying aftermarket accessories, this kit can't be beat for the price.

I picked up this play and charge kit for my new Xbox controller for a few reasons. I didn't want to deal with changing AA batteries, throwing dead ones away, repeatedly opening up the controller's battery cover if I were to use rechargeable AA batteries, and spending $25 on a kit from Microsoft that would do the same thing. I also want to add that I use my controller on my Windows 10 PC rather than on an Xbox. I'm pleased to say that this Insignia kit does everything I need it to do and more, all while being $10 cheaper than the Microsoft kit. The battery life so far has been pretty good. I cannot say exactly how long the Insignia kit lasts, but it's been able to keep a good charge for my three to four casual gaming sessions per week. Additionally, with the USB-C cable, at least for PC, the controller immediately switches from wireless to wired, a godsend if the battery dies during a gaming session. When plugged in, the Xbox controller will be able to play and charge at the same time too. At this time, I cannot think of any cons against the kit. Overall, I highly recommend this Insignia kit for anyone that has an Xbox or Xbox controller and not yet have a rechargeable battery.

Being new to the Xbox family, I bought these to replace the constant use of AA batteries. They worked well when I used it, lasted about 8 hours of gaming before recharging, lightweight and very affordable. But I eventually went on to buy rechargeable AA batteries. Still, not bad of a product.

This is a great battery for $10. The white one is on sale while the black one is $15. Don’t really care much about cosmetics… the quality of the cable and battery are impeccable. I honestly forget it’s a 3rd party battery. The charge lasts for hours. I recommend picking up The protection plan for when the battery starts to degrade.
