This CD player replaced my very old Sony walkman which quit after many, many years. It is the third one I've tried, and I am happy with this one for the ease of use when I listen to books at night. I can change discs, start and change tracts without turning on a light, since the controls are simple and easy to remember. The only problem is the battery use which is not good. I am trying to find the right plug-in charger to avoid burning through 2 batteries every 8-10 days.

I have had it for few weeks. So far so good, good sound, hardly any skipping, easy operation, easy access. I have purchased two other brands previously for about the same price, one lasted a week, the other didn't even work.

I bought this small portable CD player to take on a week-long business trip so I could listen to my relaxation CDs at night in my hotel room. It worked fine, the sound quality was good. Very lightweight and easy to use. No complaints.

I purchased this to replace my old Sony which was no longer available. This one has very good sound and I like the shape of the earbuds. Very happy with everything except for one point...I use this when I walk and I put it in a front pocket, as I did with the Sony. The only problem is that this one skips, sometimes only during a song or 2 and sometimes through multiple songs. Annoying but okay.

I remember as a kid when portable cd players first came out. I remember when the technology improved, and they became skip resistant. Over the years, I had several different portable cd players, but they all became obsolete with time. I recently purchased a new version of an audio Bible, and I needed a method to be able to listen to the cd's in a variety of different places. I first used an external cd drive connected to different computers, but this was a hassle to setup. I then used a portable dvd player (wth built-in speakers), but that was a hassle for a variety of reasons too. I considered ripping the tracks to mp3, but that was a hassle and time-consuming. This Insignia portable cd player is a perfect answer. I've got a small speaker I'm using with the headphone connection, and now for a low price I've got a convenient way of listening to the cd's in a variety of places. It's also very convenient that it runs on batteries because that makes it even more versatile and "self-sustainable" (you can plug it in though if you've got your own adapter). It's got all the basic features you need in regards to skip protection, track skipping, fast forward/rewind, shuffle, repeat track, repeat album, intro mode (not sure what the point of this ever was, but hey), and a HOLD mode that makes it so none of the buttons respond if you push them (i.e. if you've got it in your pocket or something). I also like that it DOESN'T have a radio as many of the other ones in the lower price range have. I would never use the radio, and the ones that have the radio are just a little more bulky (plus that's potentially one more thing that could malfunction over time). This one is small and light. Overall, I'm glad this Insignia option was available. If you need a simple solution for playing cd's on the move, you can't go wrong with this Insignia portable cd player. Hope this helps. Thanks. This is a great CD player. It's inexpensive and works quite well for its price. The volume can be turned loud enough without being too loud, even during fireworks. For the most part, it is free of skipping (save for a bumpy car ride) and has little issues. I would definitely recommend this to someone who still appreciates listening to CDs instead of everything being digital all of the time.

Needed a player to take the place of a broken component on a larger intergrated system. Did not want to buy another $200-250 integrated system just to play our CDs. This unit fit the bill perfectly attaches to the system through either the Line Out or the Speaker jack out. It sounds good. It runs off of an AC adapter (that I already had from Radio shack). And the price was very attractive. And it was in the top five of a larger review site (that looked at 25 units)

Operating friendly and the speakers sound is great. Great price I’m loving it.

If they were available, I wish the sales person had urged me to purchase ear phones to go with the CD player. I didn't realize they were not included - purchase was made in a hurry as a last minute thought for a home-bound, bed-bound adult who was recovering from surgery and who was released from the hospital later that same day. Ear phones might have been easier to use and more comfortable than an around the neck band for patients leaning against pillows. Not the best, but we made it work. Sound was good. Buttons were a little small, but we made it work. Product was a successful, short-term solution for a temporary condition!

This is the fourth Insignia CD player I have purchased. I borrow a lot of audiobooks from the local library. This player is easy to use and is reasonably priced. The only function lacking is the ability to easily stop play and automatically restart where the CD was stopped. There is a hold button, but the location seems awkward to me. The player is easily broken if dropped, hence the multiple purchases!

I was looking for a simple, inexpensive compact CD player for my mother to attach to the ‘aux in’ connection of her Bose radio. After doing some online searches, I spotted this one at Best Buy and decided to check it out. In the store, I was pleasantly surprised that it was on sale for $10 off. Bottom line: it was easy to connect and operate, and it sounds great- especially for money.

This was a great replacement CD player. I would defintely recommended this to others. Obviously, easy to use, lightweight, and sound quality is really good.

The CD player is easy to use, and I get very good sound from the headphones. It was a good buy at a great price, just what I was looking for.

Works great in my new truck which I realized didn't have a CD player. Used a double aux cable. Only problem was when stopped it would start CD at beginning instead of where you left off. No problems with skipping. Music was clear. Overall satisfied with this purchase.

I'm glad Best Buy continues to stock simple old portable cd players because I listen to books on CDs from the library when I walk each day.. This player is light weight and simple to use and inexpensive.. Thank you best buy!

This is my second Insignia CD player. It only lasts about 2 years, but then I play it often. The sound is good and it is easy to use. It does not have a memory to mark where you left off and it uses up batteries quickly. When it stops working it no longer reads the CD; it gives a constant error message. It is good for the price, especially since good CD players are getting hard to find.

I needed a personal CD player to listen to my meditation CDs and this one works perfectly. It is light weight and it's easy to navigate the controls. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to find an old relic and thought that I would have to resort to pawn shops or Goodwill to find one. Best Buy had a brand new one for a really good price.

I have a 2015 Corvette which has bells and whistles but no cd player! We listen to books on cdwhen we travel but were surprised it didn't have a player. This portable was recommnded on line and it works better than expected. The batteries last for hours and it connects directly to the aux in the Vette and of course, plays through the car speakers. No skipping or distortion. Very satisfied. Also it's small enough to fit in most glove boxes or door storage. I had to purchase a line to connect it to the car but to me it's all worth the money.

This is inexpensive, lightweight to carry or small enough to carry in backpack while out and about. We still have and use our Cds and wanting to be outside working in yard or maybe taking a walk this portable CD player is great for listening to our favorite music. I'm glad that Best Buy still carries this product.
