this is a good item , sound is good , easy to operate will, probably get another if and when this wears out, but one problem, when I went to change the batteries the first time I could not get compartment to open up , very easy, finally I got it open and it broke , now I have to tape it shut, goes through a lot of batteries , will get ac plug next time

I’ve owned this same Portable CD Player before. It works well but doesn’t last forever. It’s easy to operate. I listen to books on tape with this player so I use it for a few hours everyday.

I have had several of these Insignia Portable CD players over the years. All but one lasted longer than the projected life. The one that did not was replaced under a warranty plan with no problem. It is reliable and easy to use. It is one of the few affordable CD players still on the market. Does not skip while playing.

Got this CD player for my husband. It's easy to use and the sound quality is excellent. The price was reasonable. Would recommend the product.

Good little player for the money. It is a bit twithie . Husband uses it daily as he will watch sports and listen to his custom cd mix cds. He researches bands on line , and he then devises mix sets. A little hobby he has.

My wife needed a new disc player for our recent trip so we stopped before leaving town and bought this player. My wife listened to her audio books for the whole trip and was very happy with it.

I like it, it is light, the music sounds good, I would recommend for someone who have casual use. Not recommended for someone who wants a big bass sound or big music tones. It is for normal listening use.

Plays well.but batteries drain qiickly. AFTER A FEW MONTH'S BEGINS SKIPPING. USER FRIENDLY PLAYER, MY MITHER-IN-LAW ABLE TO FIGURE IT OUT AND SHE IS OLDER

Great cd player good sound light weight and easy to use

I purchased to listen to music while working in our gardens. very lightweight and easy to carry around.

This sounds fine and doesn't skip when it gets some bumping on a walk. The headphones that come with it are not great. The price was right.

The Insignia Portable CD player is easy to use. However the batteries do not last very long nor does the CD player. Price is right for the longevity of the player.

This portable CD player sounds really good with the headphones included. Has an option for a bass boost. And there’s an option to play or repeat. If you’re using it for this purpose I rate it a 5. However, I Purchased this to put in the car and run an auxiliary cable to play through the car speakers because the new cars don’t come with cd players anymore. You can hear the whining of the spinning of that CD through the speakers in the car. Also the sound doesn’t filter into the car speakers and you miss a lot of tone and bass, so I rate it a 1 for car use.

I bought it as a gift and it fit the bill for what it was needed for. It has decent sound quality and I liked that it came with actual headphones and not earbuds. Good deal for the price.

This CD player was purchased for learning and refreshing our language skills in French and Spanish skills . Whether connected to our cars system or used with ear plugs or head set the player is clear and easy to use.

Needed something old school to play CD's when I do not want to play my phone or other devices. Works great and was a decent price and could not find anything better locally at stores.

So sad when my "new" (to me) Chevy Equinox came without a CD player. (They stopped installing them after 2016 in all models). I had to have my favorite tunes and this solved the problem very nicely. It sounds great thru my car speakers and is easy to operate.

New car did not have a CD player. I like to listen to audiobooks, which come on CDs. Bought this item to play CDS. It is very basic. Played through AUX cable into the car, the sound is Very good, no problems there. This item does not have the capability of holding the place in the CD, so I have to keep track of where it stops every time I stop it and then fast forward back to the spot. Royal pain. You can pause it and pick up, but if you are stopping on a road trip for lunch, you don't want the batteries to run down unnecessarily. It would be good if this would get electricity through the car, but in order to use the cigarette outlet, you have to do through a couple of transitions, the gadgets for which cost almost $50, so I am running it on batteries. The good news is that a set of batteries seems to last about 10 hours. If all the new cars are not having CD players, then someone should invent something like this that could be plugged into either the cigarette lighter directly or the USB port and which would hold its position when the car turns off.
