I listen to audio books on cds. Sound is great. Plus I like that it plays MP3 format. It is easy to navigate.

Does CDs (regular and MP3s) and radio tuning just nicely. If you have any MP3s to burn to a CD, this will play them. It can get iffy with iTunes MP3s, but any other place seems to do just fine (likely cause of the copy protection Apple does on their music?). Get yourself some rechargeable batteries like Panasonic Eneloops, and you can get maybe 15-20 hours or more of use per pair (depending if you use the CD or the radio part). Overall, this is among the best you can get for the money if your work environment won't allow any music devices with USB storage.

Sometimes you need old technology to appreciate the sound of your CD's when you want something portable. This fills the bill and it plays mp3's and FM radio to boot. You forget how dynamic CD's sound compared to mp3's. I got it as a deal of the day, so it worked out fine. It works great so far.

This has been a good CD player. The sound quality was surprisingly good (as long as you don't use the headphones that come with it) and the control buttons work well and relatively quickly. It does start skipping pretty easily though, I've taken out the disc and clean off really light smudges and then it would stop skipping. The batteries don't last that long with it, so I recommend using an AC adapter when possible.

I bought this cd player to use for my dance class. I teach ball room dancing. The fact that is portable, easy to operate, and light weight were all factors in my purchase.

This CD player produces great sound be itvwith a cd or tuned to a radio station. Batteries provided were bad.

I needed a portable CD player that would connect into a speaker system for an event. This was perfect in size and functioned well with the CD's that the performers had all made for themselves. I selected this one based on the salesperson who let me know that this would play the MP3 downloads as well as the straight CD's.

My son is surprisingly "old school" and wanted this rather than an ipod or rather than using his phone while riding in the car or walking the trails at the park. We have so many cd's, and he is like we were - rahter have an actual cd with a case that has pics & info - so this has worked perfectly for him. No complaints of skipping, etc. Perfect for what he uses it for.

Plays clear with CD and with the radio. the head set worked great even with the hearing aids in. Only problem the batteries don't last long enough

I like the fact its small and the sound is good. I up graded the ear phones and the sound is awsome

It goes through batteries rather quickly but the sound is good for listening to audio books

I am satisfied with my purchase. My library has a decent collection of books on cd. I enjoy listening to them while walking. The player has worked well so far. I wish it was possible to resume where I left off but that is something I can live with. As with all electronic devices, treating them gently seems to be important in extending their lifespan.

Plays well without noise. Quality sound production. Very portable and light weight. Very good for travel and use in airplane.

I needed music for work but it could have the ability to record (bank security) and for a reasonable $, it played CDs and had radio, it was perfect. Seemed it went thru batteries pretty fast but that's my only issue.

I use these to listen to audio books when walking. Good sound and overall ease of use. They wear out quickly.

The Sony Portable CD Player works great and is easy to use. I put it in my carry pouch belt, walk around and it never skips and the sounds is loud and clear.

I actually bought this for myself. My husband has the Insignia brand also, but not as nice as this one. Guess who has it now! He loves it. It sounds better than his! It has more features than his! The price was great, it was cheaper than his too.

Worked good for what I purchased it for. Easy to operate but headphones are a bit tight on me. Sound quality is great.
