With the advances in technology companies are no longer investing in these. This one says no disk every time I go to start it but when I push play a second time it always starts. The skip protection works pretty good.

Not super heavy duty, but will be using it inside the house and not moving it. Need to purchase upgraded head phones, but it plays the MP3 audio books with adequate voice quality. Very pleased.
