The CD player seems to run smooth and work great it plays my MP3 disc perfectly but it eats up batteries very quickly

I still like to listen to CDs in a portable environment, but there are very few small format portable CD players still on the market. In the research I have done, this unit comes as close to meeting my requirements as any I could find. It has a hold switch to lock out accidental button pushes, it includes a line-out jack to feed other devices (such as my headphone amp) along with anti-skip memory, and it is small form factor. Aspects I would like to see improved include more recessed buttons, a true mechanical off switch to save the batteries during storage, better protection of the optics, a more robust hinge, and more complete battery consumption (when the unit stops due to "low battery" the batteries still have about half of their capacity). It would have also been nice to either provide a power supply or configure it to be driven by a high-output USB supply. Even though this review raises a number of complaints, I actually am reasonably happy with the unit, and in my opinion it appears to be the best-of-breed still available.

We have had several of this same model for my son's dad who hasn't gone digital yet. Well made, user friendly and great sound with good headphones. Just wish it was a bit more durable - we do drop it occasionally and it usually is fine but after 3 or 4 drops we need a replacement. Fair enough for the price!

I needed a small player for a recent trip. This fit nicely in my carry on and made my trip more enjoyable.

This product is very easy to use. The set up was ease and fast. It was fun to watch and was impressed with what a good job it did cleaning the floors. It is effective on carpet and on the wood floors. It saves me time that I can spend doing other things.

The sound is good. It doesn't skip. I use it while doing lawn work, household chores and walking.

Inexpensive player provides good quality sound performance. Superior FM receptor and more than adequate head phones made this just what I needed for long walks listening to training CDs or just music. It works as advertised and I am pleased with the results.

I was looking for a small, hand held CD player that also had an FM radio so I could listen to news when away from home. This CD player was alli that I was looking for and it also has pretty good sound..

I needed a portable CD player because NEW cars do not come with one. It works good but I need to learn more.

This is good for my 5 yr old grandson to listen to children’s books on CD! He likes to read and turn the page at the “ping” as the story goes along. His 3 yr old brother likes it too. Only wish it had a “Pause” button so they could stop, and start again in the same place rather than play from beginning again. But, overall a good buy for this use, and can play music cd’s too.

Sounds great! And it’s convenient to use. I can enjoy my music both with my cd’s and radio .

I use it all the time at the gym and walking it does skip once in awhile but all CD players skip

I do listening lot CD books from library. I am using charging batteries all time.

I use this player when cutting my lawn on a 17.5 hp lawn tractor. I hit lots of bumps and have never had a skip. No problem with batteries; they last a long time since the delay is only 45 seconds, which functions perfectly. Battery complaints probably were about older models of this player that had 240 second delay, which is completely unnecessary. This newer version does not function with a remote, and I was told by a Best Buy (Geek Squad) technician that the newer player had been reprogrammed. I love this item, but the headphones do not work in a noisy environment; need to purchase noise canceling headphones if using in a noisy environment. Sony ns-p5113 works great with this player.

I only use this to listen to Audio books. I have not found any other portable players. I rated this as "GOOD"for two reasons. 1 .The ON/OFF button is on the front or top of the player which is easy to bump to OFF. 2. When the OFF button is pushed, on purpose or not, the player does NOT "store" your place or track in the book so you constantly have to monitor your place..

This was a great little buy.. Works perfect for what I needed it for and is still going strong almost 2 years later.. No issues whatsoever and am still enjoying it.
