I actually purchased this case for another purpose. I needed a rigid case to protect my wifi hotspot as well as storing the USB cable, spare battery and AC adapter. Everything fits great and it offers excellent protection.

It fits the external hard drive. Very portable. Protects the hard drive. Easy to store. Good idea to get since you never know with an external hard drive if it will break or work properly.

I have several external hard drives. Some are 4TB so they are a bit thicker but this fits with the USB no problem. It definitely has a dense shell, not saying it is a solid shell, but i am confident it will sufficiently coushion any accidental blow it my take floating around in a bag. Which is not something I recommend, common sense says put it in a secure pocket.

This Insignia Portable Hard Drive Case is very sleek and has just enough to safely secure my new external hard drive, it's cord, and a USB flash drive. I travel often and wanted a good case to protect my external hard drive for when I'm on the go or for when I have it put up at home. The case has a hard shell but it isn't bulky at all. I highly recommend one for this price!

fits my hard drive very well and is easy to carry . Black is a very good color and the case is well-made.

This little hard drive case is so handy and is almost unbreakable! I don't know what it is made of but it is lightweight and extremely rugged. I keep my SSD hard drive in it and never worry about it being injured in any way.

Does what I needed it to do, which is house myWD - Easystore 5TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive - Black. Rugged & spacious. As far as protecting it if i drop it, i purposely have not tried that aspect out. Still looks and feels brand new My use was minimal.

This fits my WD 5tb external hard drive perfectly and has an internal pouch to hold the cable. Case is hard enough to protect the hard drive well.

A full 5 may be a shade too high, but maybe not. This case is lightweight and seems sturdy. I have no intention to test how sturdy it is and I hope I never find out by accident. But it is perfect to hold and transport my portable backup and the flash drive I bought as part of a package.

Great case to keep your hard drive in holds what you need and keeps your hard drive safe and cord as well also you can put a note on the mesh pocket labeling what you have on the drive so you can tell them apart if you have more then one l...all my hard drives have one!!!

This case is sturdier than Western Digital soft cases I've purchased in the past and houses my thicker 4TB external drive easily. I do prefer a safety strap to hold the drive in the case, especially when open, which this case doesn't have, but it does have a net built into one side to separate the cord from the drive. I'm satisfied.
