The only reason i even gave it a star is because you have to. I bought this product December 31st. Two weeks ago, I came home from work to find the ice backed up and the arm the helps move the ice into the ice holder broken. I thought perhaps it somehow slipped off. It did not, it was actually broken. I reached out to Insignia customer support and through multiple emails back and forth, they decided they were not going to fulfill the manufacturing warranty, which is one year. Do yourself a favor and do NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

This works so good I'm giving ice away,,ive good about 20 lbs in freeze & 5 in other,,best buy ever

It's a great ice machine, however, it is hard to clean at times and I would definitely recommend the warranty.

Amazing countertop ice maker. First time I saw one was at a friend’s BBQ. Use this at the lake house. No longer have to buy bags of ice. I’ve is made in a reasonable amount of time. Always make extra and put in freezer bags in the freezer. There is always ice waiting when arriving at the lake.

We put this in our camper and it works great. Makes ice fast and we like the shape of the ice it makes. If I had 1 con it would be there could be a little insulation in the lid. Maybe double walled.

Great product, doesn't make a ton of ice, but is nice to supplement your icemaker, especially if you make a lot of cocktails. plug it in, pour water in, and you'll have ice before you know it. time will tell if it will hold up.

I eat ice all day long and just love this portal ice maker. Its not to small and not heavy. Great for someone that doesn't have much counter space. It constantly makes ice just make sure you fill it with water. If i fill my big cup i put a water bottle in the maker to make sure we don't run out. Its really that simple. It takes 2 to 3 water bottles to fill it up.

only had it a day but makes ice fast nice and quiet.. nice machine.. if you want ice to last will have to transfer to freezer but it reuses water if ice melts so it will just keep remaking ice it last a few hours in there before melting..i love it

This is a difficult review to right. Why? Because this stand alone icemaker does its job adequately, but your situation is important to the decision to buy one. If you have no access to a regular freezer with an icemaker and cannot add one into it, this is way better than having no ice maker at all. On the other hand, this price point will pay for enough store bought ice to build a snow man, his family, and some nose carrots too! It's a wonderfully engineered machine that makes a few handfuls an hour in smaller or larger size. Then you must put them into cold storage or a bucket in the freezer, right? The created cubes for me turned out wet so that when you put them in the freezer, they stuck together forming a giant cluster around my ice ladle. Nothing that a small hammer can't fix! Know at a built-in icemaker creates dry cubes that don't stick because the cubes never see room temperature. So, I think the design here could be better. The condenser probably uses a lot of electricity too. In short, not what I had hoped, so I'm having the manufacturers icemaker added to my freezer this week and this one will go back. Fun technology experiment though!

Works great! Very quick at making ice. Reuses the water when it melts in basket.

I really enjoy this ice maker after looking at several others online first. I drink a ton of water and nearly always have enough ice. Easy to used. Highly recommend

I love it, I should have gotten one a long time ago, there is never enough food in the freezer for an ice tray, I have a freezer also and it stays full so I have no ice. That was one of the items I bought from Best Buy.

Our refrigerator ice makers keep ahas problems. One minute it works, the next it won't. Instead of buying a replacement fridge or calling someone to fix it. This ice maker is a big replacement for a reasonable price. Great purchase

Rental home I’m living in doesn’t have ice machine maker. Went with insignia because it’s Best Buy’s brand. Hasn’t let down since. About an hour and half for a full basket production. Easy to use.

Love this ice maker. It makes 9 pieces at a time but average time was about 6 minutes for each batch. Love the color and it is easy to wipe down to clean. So happy I finally broke down and made this purchase.

In my household everyone loves ice but never refills the trays. This ice make is perfect, it produces small and large ice cubes(I prefer large) and is quiet while running. I run the ice over nights and never had a problem!
