Use this regularly to refill ice basket as the ice maker in the frig is shot. Portable enough to bring to other locations; camping, cabin, etc. No issues so far, wondering how long it will last but please so far. Takes about five minutes per batch, which amounts to enough ice for a good sized drink.

This little machine has been a Godsend. It produces 9 bullets of ice every 5 minutes or so. When I get a bag of it I put it in the refrigerator's ice maker and now the ice maker works again. I was using plastic ice trays but they clog the ice maker. This is perfect. I use bottled water just to make sure it continues to work well. I use it every 3 days or so. Best purchase I made on black Friday. Love it.

I bought this ice maker because the refrigerator in the apartment I live in doesn't have one. We obviously can't get a new fridge, so I was looking at a way to get some convenient ice. From there, I had this ice maker for <1 year and ended up returning it. During that time it worked well enough and made ice consistently. I put it on a smart outlet and the electricity cost for us came out to about $10/mo for 2 people with it running continuously which isn't bad. Note that when I say "continuously" I mean it's plugged in and on, but it will pause and not make ice when it becomes full. So why did I return it? During cleaning I kept noticing plastic flakes in the water reservoir. I thought it was mold, then took a Q tip to the area on the refrigerant tubes to swab it away and found it was some black material behind the chrome plating, and some chrome plating came off as well. Obviously having this in something you're consuming isn't an option, so it was a "whelp time to take it back" moment. It also sucks to clean. I'm not sure the intent of the design but there are so many nooks and crannies in the upper portion. If you could remove the "lid" where the electrical controls are it wouldn't be bad, but you can't. You've seen it in some other pictures uploaded by customers if you've taken a look. There are also areas that more or less are inaccessible, the tray that moves to fill with water has no real way to access behind it to clean. A cleaning cycle would also be a welcome addition, to get it to flow through the internal tubing and fill the tray with water to clean the refrigerant probes that come from the tubing you have to run it as if it's making ice. Would be nice if it had some sort of cycle to just run the pump without the compressor to chill the tubing, but it doesn't. Why 2 stars instead of one? It did function correctly for a while, and despite the flaws for the price did fulfill its role. So, here are my recomendations; 1. If you are intending to use this occasionally (parties, special events, etc...), drain, and clean it after it may fit that role fine. I would question if this is worth it instead of buying ice at the store; but thankfully it's your money and not mine. 2. If you are intending to use this continuously in lieu of an ice maker built into a refrigerator I would advise against it. It's inconvenient to clean, and ultimately I had the same case and the chrome plating didn't last. If for some reason you do want to get it anyway, I would at least advise you to buy the protection plan. All that being said returning this in store (with the protection plan) was very painless, so glass half full?

I love this little counter top ice maker. It makes ice in 6 to 13 minutes and keeps the bin full. I pull and put extra ice in my freezer. It makes 2 sizes of barrel shape ice. My family loves it!!

There are times it takes long enough for the 1st batch of ice to drop in the basket that it's partially/ half its size. It dies not have a cold storing option. I get a large Ziplpck bags and make enough to keep it in the freezer. That kind of defeats the purpose to me. I allreadu have silicone ice trays. I'm not sure how much more the ones that store the ice cost, but it's my own fault for not doing research prior. However, it's still a 3 star product in my eyes because of the flaw of it melting the 1st batch down to half size no matter which option you choose

My fridge icemachine stopped working so I got this Portable icemaker. My family love this machine because it makes ice fast and the smaller cubes are easier on the teeth. This portable icemaker requires no tubing, just pour water until it meets the water line.

It needs to run all day and you need to keep it in your head to empty, but heck yea it produces Ice and fast. But be sure to get the protection, we had 2 of these go out in the 1st year, thank god for the Geeks who replaced it no hassle at all

This little ice-maker is awesome. It’s quiet, efficient, makes great ice and is really low maintenance. We got this in between refrigerators to keep our ice stocked. It worked beautifully, and it kept us sane. We’ll definitely use again and again, especially for larger gatherings and camping.

I absolutely love my ice maker. I now have a lot more room in my freezer and always have plenty of ice continuously. Excellent product!
