You have to remove the ice right away if you want to keep it. If it melts it will go right back into the water holder and will remake ice. I remove it and put in in a zip lock and into the freezer it goes. I like this machine a lot!

However, like most ice makers, cleaning and maintence takes a conisderable amount of time. To really clean the icemaker, you have to unscrew roughly 8 screws to remove the top of the casing for access to clean. I feel like it was not designed as well as it could be.

This one works even better and with 2, we'll have more ice than we need.

This works amazing. Only makes 9 cubes at a time but quick. Before you know it the basket is full and enough to make several drinks. Great investment and never had an issue. Lastly, very compact.

I wanted one for the house because I missed my ice cubes in the evening and on weekends. We use purified water and get crystal clear cubes. So much better than my refrigerator cubes! Love my icemaker!!

I use distilled water and it seems to work very well. I usually have the machine running all day and I haven't had any issues with it. It has a sensor as to when the basket is full so it doesn't overflow. I have this one at work but I plan on buying a second one for my home.

Will definitely keep up with you moderate ice consumption, or if you have need for larger quantities, you can also get a larger tray, empty the hopper, and put it in your freezer! If you don't have an ice maker in your freezer, this is an amazing counter top option.

Excellent little ice machine

On average, it takes about 8 minutes to make each batch of ice (approximately 10-12 cubes), using tepid water from the faucet. We used it everyday during the one-month road trip in our RV, bagging and storing the extra cubes in the freezer. We were able to go the whole trip without purchasing any ice.
