Without a water hookup to the fridge, we didn’t have the ice maker connected. This small ice maker is perfect for making batches of ice when needed. It’s quick and makes very little noise. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a countertop ice maker

This fit perfectly on my counter and did not take up hardly any room at all. Production is fast and I did like the choice of 2 sizes fit the ice . Easy to clean , fill and very easy to set up and operate definitely worth the 5 stars I gave it.

This does a much better job than I thought it would. The ice cubes are produced about every 6 minutes. They are smaller than a refrigerator ice maker. But, it makes plenty of ice in one day. The unit is quiet and doesn't take up a lot of room.

So far so good. This is the second countertop I’ve maker I’ve had, I bought the first one from Amazon and it lasted about a year before it just quit working one day. My ice maker in my refrigerator makes nasty tasting ice so it’s nice to have something I can pour filtered water into and have ice that doesn’t taste bad. It’s small enough to fit on the little countertop space o have between the stove and the doorway into my dining room. It makes plenty of ice for our iced coffee and water bottles each morning and then makes plenty for that nights iced drinks with dinner.

Makes Great ice, quickly, and super easy to use. Family of 4 and it’s perfect for us. We fill up freezer bags. It’s also pretty quiet. Pick a color!

Since my ice maker on my fridge went out, this portable ice maker has been a godsend. I can make large or small cubes in minimal time. The auto shut off makes it great for those days i forget i have it making ice. I can make an entire tray bin of ice within the hour. I would recommend this to anyone on a budget and does not want to run out to purchase bags of ice on a regular. Perfect for the space and has a nice option of colors to choose from.

Love this ice maker. I have the red and love the color. It makes ice as specified and takes about 30-40 minutes to make a full basket of ice. The basket is not huge but it makes enough ice to fill about 2 16 oz cups and as long as you take the ice out and freeze it, you can continue to make ice. Machine does not keep ice frozen so it should be removed and placed int eh freezer as soon as possible. Just add water and press a button for the power and size. It’s very simple to use. I am glad I purchased this item!

Bought this to replace the ice maker that broke in my fridge and I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it works. This thing runs 24/7 in my house and does well enough. It creates ice pretty quickly, and continues making ice until the ice bucket is full. It has an indicator for low water and ice full so you know why its not making ice if it isn't. There are two options for ice cube size, big and small, and really you should probably be just sticking to big as the little ones melt extremely fast, which brings me to my complaints on this. First, the tempurature doesn't get low enough. It makes ice sure, but the ice temperature is so low that they almost instantly melt as soon as they meet water. If it was a few degrees cooler I believe they would last longer. The ice bucket could be deeper, one ice bucket is enough to fill my water bottle and thats it. And a nice plus would be an external water jug, keeping you from refilling as often. It does make about 3 buckets of ice per fill up, but more would be appreciated. Overall a pretty solid ice maker for the price.

i purchased this ice maker as a gift and had the privilege of using it over the Memorial Day weekend! It really does make ice as fast as it claims! It's quiet and compact. I'm going to have to buy one for myself and I'm not even a huge Ice user! Very impressive...

This was a replacement for a similar Frigidaire unit that failed. It got a tough test recently on a 10-day camping trip. It lived outside in the heat under an RV awning and faithfully cranked out over a pound of ice an hour, as long as you added water every few hours. We dumped the basket into gallon bags and stored them in the RV freezer since this unit does not store ice. When the freezer was full, we started dumping it directly into the ice chest. It saved the money, time and gas of doing "ice runs" and the cube size made it the preferred ice for mixed drinks. Home run, Insignia! Efficient, quiet, and "nice ice". We brought it home and made bags of ice for beverages.

Great ice maker. It doesnt make alot of noise. Alot of times i dont realize its even running until the ice drops. Fits well on my counter and actually does make alot of ice for what i expected from the bucket area. Down side is there isnt really a place to put the scoop because if you leave it inside it gets burried and if you leave it outside there's no place for it to sit. I put a small piece of tape on the cover so its not attached but its not falling off and getting lost all the time. If it had a clip on the cover to snap the handle of the scoop in and maybe double as a handle to lift the cover to empty the ice, refill the water, or move the ice around so it makes more ice it might be better, but its definitely not a deal breaker. My family goes thru ice like crazy especiallyin the summer. I got tired of buying bag after bag of ice. I saw this ice maker was on sale and decided to buy it. We are 100% happy with it. I timed...it makes 9 pieces of ice every 7 minutes. We have been using it for almost 2 months now. Definitely worth the $99 its running now. It was on sale a little cheaper when i got mine
