I COULD NOT see myself spending $500.00+ on the GE Opal Ice Maker so I compromised on this one instead. It was on sale for Black Friday, so I figured why not! So far I love it and have no complaints. Hopefully this lasts me a long time. You can’t beat the price. I can’t wait to use this for my cocktails. I also used distilled water and the ice is super clear.

I absolutely love this compact ice maker. It makes ice both big and small in a faction of the time it would take to freeze an old fashioned ice tray. Plus it is so easy to clean just don’t get the motor wet while cleaning it always make sure it’s right side upright. But if you do accidentally get the motor wet, don’t fret cuz let it air dry and then plug it in.

After purchasing a vintage refrigerator, it quickly became apparent that ice cube trays were taking up valuable real estate in the tiny freezer. I discovered the Insignia Portable Ice Maker while attending a party ... came home and ordered one immediately! I've used this continuously for two years, and couldn't be happier with it. Was back to purchase another one as a gift for a recent house guest (who claimed they were going to "kidnap" mine), and wanted to leave a review for this great gadget!

This is a table top ice maker. It is able to produce a large volume of ice and a short period of time. The only thing that makes it a little less than perfect, is that the scoop that moves the ice from the ice chamber to the hopper does not always pick up all the ice. If an ice cube falls into the area outside of the ice chamber but not into the hopper the scoop sometimes will not pick that ice up on a subsequent try. Otherwise this is a quick and relatively inexpensive solution to produce extra ice for frozen drinks as well as just adding cubes to cups.

This was very fast at baking my ice and it ran very quiet while it was doing it. I would recommend it to everyone that needs ice and likes to have some icebreaker in the same room with them. It works just great thank you. 

This retro color teal is great, fits right in with my style. Great having ICE right when I need it! No more filling messy ice trays or worse, empty ones in the freezer.

Rental home I’m living in doesn’t have ice machine maker. Went with insignia because it’s Best Buy’s brand. Hasn’t let down since. About an hour and half for a full basket production. Easy to use.

Makes ice so fast it shuts itself off. You forget to keep emptying the ice bucket. Takes a 2 qt. pitcher to fill it, then away it goes. Fairly silent, you might hear the fan if you really care. To have fresh ice at your side really makes the difference next to the lighted beverage cooler. Well, for some of us.

This is a great ice machine. It makes 9 cubes in 5 1/2 minutes and takes about 45-50 minutes for a full basket. I’ve made probably 6 full baskets already and I can still taste the chemicals, but hopefully that’ll go away soon. I’ll just keep running it through.

Great ice maker. This is our third in five years. So far, so good. Seems like a well constructed ice maker. It operates the same as the last one we had. I wish there were a small alarm that would go off when the water is out, since I seem to be the only one who thinks to refill the water well regularly and maybe then my partner would think to check and refill it. ha. Added bonus: You can buy a nice high end refrigerator that DOESN'T break down two years later, due to constant use of the ice maker...since they are two separate appliances.

Had been great so far! Good munching ice because it is a bit softer. Wish it made more ice at a time, but for the price, it is what I expected.

Love the color. Ice machine works well. Very satisfied. Not to bulky either! I bought the mint.

the ice maker works great, and easy to care for, and it allows you to select size of the ice cubes. small enough to fit drink water bottles and large enough to put in your drinking glass.

I love this counter top ice maker. It makes a ton of ice and takes up a little. My issue with the machine is that it gets dirty fast due to cold water mold. The water basket is easy enough to clean, however the basket that the ice cubes drop into before filling the regular basket is almost impossible to reach to clean. You can’t simply take a few panels off the to reach the interior backet to clean and I haven’t found any solutions. I’m going to give it a few more try’s at cleaning before I make my final decision.

So far so good. We use it in our travel trailer. Great to have ice on demand, makes it pretty quickly. Doesn't take up a lot of space. Highly recommend for the price.

For what it is, it’s great. Seems to make enough ice QUICKLY for 2 or 3 people within minutes. This unit was purchased to replace another one that we had for a year or two. It will likely have the same fate as the previous one as I’m sure it will get funk inside the pump as well and eventually stop it up. But for now it works great.

I absolutely love this. A must have, perfect for home, office, minibar, anywhere. Very refreshing and ice perfect size and a great for drinks, Smoothies, pets or just enjoy eating ice. Quiet sound with a bit of relaxing waterfall as the water recycles. Keep an eye when getting full Or needs more water. Great even to put ice in ziplock bags in the freezer. My favorite buy.

I use this everyday and it’s easy to clean. Makes good portions of ice fast
