Still works and love the little ice. Can't complain simple as that

We lost our ice maker in the refrigerator about 3 years ago. I missed having ice and finally decided to buy a countertop unit. I read the reviews and in my 6 weeks of ownership my experience is about the same. The unit makes ice quite rapidly and it is true that it will not keep ice, only make it. It is reasonably quiet and easy to store. So far I am glad I bought it and it is serving us well.

Recieved a defective one that roared loudly while making ice (white model), and Best Buy’s customer service worked wonders in making sure we were taken care of! We went in for an exchange, but the white model was completely sold out and out of stock in-store and online, so they exchanged it for the more expensive (silver) model without hesitation for us! We were pleased to just have a working machine, but in awe by their willingness to make sure we did not leave the store without one. Thank you, Best Buy! You guys are awesome! The machine works perfectly with a peaceful hum to let you know it is creating the perfect cubes you desire, small or large! The machine also knows when to stop, wether by a full ice trey or a low water level, while also letting you know. The machine is awesome! The machine and BB’s customer service get the job done!

I love this ice machine. It is very quiet. It makes just enough ice for me. It doesn't take up very much counter space

I’ve been wanting an ice maker for so long!! I purchased online & did curbside pick-up. The service was excellent! No contact at all! I brought it home unboxed it and set it up! Very easy btw! Cleaned out the necessary trays and maker itself. Added filtered water to clean the water system. Threw out the first bucket of ice then started with a fresh set after! Once you add water after a few minutes you’ll have ice in the bucket! I love the little ring ice! It’s so cute! I will definitely purchase again!

This is the most honest review I can make. I’ve now had this unit for six months and I didn’t realize how much ice my family consumed. Ideally it’s enough ice for three large glasses at a time. It makes ice very quickly every eight minutes. The biggest problem and the reason why I have to give it four stars – Because I can’t give a 4 1/2- is that the ice slides at an angle into the holding tray. I’m not sure that there’s an engineering solution here due to the water tank being underneath the ice tray. Because the ice slides at an angle you only get enough for two glasses of ice unless you systematically shuffle the ice around two or three times a day with your scooper. The laser sensor is often blocked by the ice sliding into that tray. If you have a family of 4 to 6 people that consume a large amount of ice….I would probably get a larger unit that has a larger ice hopper compartment. I might actually go and get a larger unit myself and my kids will probably love me if I hand them this unit. The ice -in the large form -is the size of a thimble. Easy to suck on won’t damage your teeth and is a little soft. The unit is not refrigerated so the ice continually melts inside the tray back into the water tank. For the $89 -$100 range this piece of equipment is actually well done. If your ice maker in your refrigerator/freezer breaks and you don’t wanna go all out fixing it and you just want to move ice from this ice maker into the hopper of your freezer… This unit makes ice has a removable ice basket where you can transport that ice over to your freezer. Hope this helps :)

This ice maker machine is exactly what I wanted for making ice for cocktails. It's easy to use and makes both small and medium ice cubes. Just be careful to make sure that you take off all of the tape before using. I missed two pieces holding the part (sweeping grate) that pushes the ice into the basket and realized when it made a not so happy noise. Luckily it didn't break and it was good to go once I removed the tape. Definitely recommend!

makes ice so fast , senses low water and when ice is full. this is the second ice maker different brands ..this one is the best. easy to clean

I bought this for my wife for her office. She loves it. She likes to eat ice and says this is the prefect size and is soft enough to chew. She starts it up when she gets to work and by lunch there is plenty of ice. It does not keep the ice cold but any ice that melts just goes back into the reservoir to make more ice.

This is a fantastic ice maker! Our refrigerator ice maker hasnt been making as much ice. Bought this cute ice maker which can make up to 9lbs of ice in a day! Doesnt take up too much counter space either. This was definitely a great purchase!

Great amazing awesome perfect so easy to use and fills up fast

I bought this when my fridge ice maker went bad. It works fast and is quiet. The white and silver weren't available at the time I ordered so I went with the mint and the color is beautiful. I don't even know it is running except when I hear the ice drop. No more running to the store for ice. I'm very happy with this purchase so far.

Works as advertised. Less heavy than my previous model, but just as fast.

I had two other brands of ice makers before this one. One lasted about 3 months and the other lasted about 6 months. This Insignia model has been wonderful. It's quieter than the others I have had and it has been running like clockwork for the past year and a half. I always have fresh ice readily available. It is my favorite small appliance and the one that gets used the most
