It runs quiet and puts out a fair amount of ice for a single person. The red color and design looks like the unit is more expensive than it is. If you have a two or more people in the family, I'd buy a larger capacity unit, but for a single person, it's perfect.

Since getting this icemaker, I've used all summer and it comes in handy for parties, get togethers, or even if you're home alone. Set it up and let it do its thing. In one day I made about 10 gallon ziploc bags of ice and it lasted a week. Knowing i had the ice in my freezer I used ice for every drink. I recommend this little gem!

Best Lil Ice-maker Ever

It is great ! It makes all the ice we need and more. My grand children love the little cup shaped ice. If you are an ice eater, it is perfect. Not too hard on the teeth. My only question is can the filter be changed or how do I know it is clean after so many makings of ice. Other than that I have no complaints. Would recommend to anyone and would purchase it again.

Love to have on-demand ice. I know that some people say it's too noisy but I don't see why. Just run it during the day while you're not sleeping. Just bought 2 as X-Mas presents. Everyone in my family is in love with theirs.

And this ice maker works even better than the one that came in my fridge (which just refuses to work after two years and three repairs)! I turn this ice maker on once a week for about two hours and it provides enough ice for two people for the entire week! If I’m entertaining I just keep it running throughout and we never have to worry about ice, granted I only ever have about eight to ten people at once but no more buying bags of ice for dinner parties so all good!

This did a good job of making ice quickly. I just didn't realize that the basket to hold the ice was very small, and I found the scoop not to be helpful when trying to get more than a few pieces of ice.

I drink ice water all day so I couldn't go with it. Bought this one and so far it's working great. No funky buildup in it either. Nice that it was on sale the day my other one died.

To me it is worth its weight in GOLD! I fill up once to make ice & the ice lasts a good while. Before Insignia Portable Icemaker, I was filling ice cube trays the moment they were frozen & refilling & refilling & refilling-on & on..... This has saved me so very much time!! We go thru a tremendous amount of ice cubes here & this incredible machine keeps us ahead of the game at all times!
