Her ice maker on her fridge went out and I wasn't going to buy her a new fridge so I got this. She always mentions how good this thing is. Given... it's only been a couple months, but apparently it does it's job.

Insignia Portable Ice Maker Review

Great for backup when the ice maker in our fridge stopped working. The ice cubes are slightly wetter than desired when they are made, so they tend to stick to one another in our freezer unless I transfer them to a ziploc bag first, and let them freeze a little more while flat. We only use the "large" ice cube size - have found the small size is somewhat useless as it melts too fast.

So im really surprised and impressed. For the cost, its a win. It has the easy clean method, drain plug on bottom so it makes cleaning easy which is a problem with otber models. Also, the color options to match everyone decor is an added bonus.

It’s really good for small party of family of 6. It fills a basket about an 1hr at a time, if you needed more at a time I would go for a bigger model.

Good quantity of ice pretty quick

I bought this to have on the boat, and it turns out the first batch of cubes pretty quick and keeps going. The only downside is, you have to pull the cubes and use them or put them in a freezer pretty soon, or they melt, but that's the tabletop units in general and not just this unit.
