I would give it 0 stars if I could. After 2 weeks (which is the end of Best Buy return policy) it completely dumped all the water from the machine onto my countertops, which are wood and ruined them. Best Buy said you can pay for Geek Squad to look at it or there is nothing else we can do because it was delivered 2 weeks ago. Great Customer Service!

I'm on my second unit now, and it is making loud banging noises - sounds like it is going to explode at any second! I exchanged my first one which was doing the same thing. Also, they both leaked some black liquid (maybe a lubricant) into the ice chamber. At this point I am going to spend the extra for the GE maker, and thankfully I'm a Total member so I have the extended warranty, or I would be out of luck!

It was noisy and made dense ice, not like the soft chewy ice of Opal. I returned

Died a week after the warranty expired. Best Buy offered to recycle it for me and that I could purchase the GE ice maker at a cost of an additional $300.

At first the machine worked great. Bought this for my mother for her birthday, it arrived at the end of May/beginning of June. Today is September 3rd and it no longer works. Says to add water when full and any sort of troubleshooting has been futile. Have reached out to customer support, so depending on what happens there I may update this review.

This item just got delivered. I was so excited. I immediately opened and started cleaning it to use! Its horrible. Im already packing it back up to go exchange it for another brand. I wanted to love this so bad!! It stinks, the cleaning option on it, does not work. The light doesnt come on. The buttons are so hard to press.

Mine was an open box, did everything but make ice!

DO NOT BUY!! Does not keep your ice cold and no water line, you can to keep refilling. For the price, this was a HUGE BUST! Not to mention Best Buy only gives you a 14 day return window, which is a huge scam!!!

I so wanted to like this item, as it was going to be a perfect fit for a lot of what we needed for. So right out of the gate: "Portable" in the title and description. It is by definition, but you are not going to be bring this with you many places. This is a stay put appliance, that can be moved around when necessary. It is heavy then you expect, and many people may not be able to move it. No handles, no wheels. The biggest thing that makes it "portable" is that it does not need to be connected to a water source. For the majority of time, it isn't overly loud... but it isn't like that all the time. When it is doing its normal operations of pumping water to the freeze unit, and then dumping, and running the cooling it is fine for a unit this size. not to bad, you can have it on the counter, no problem. BUT! when it continues to run (which it has too), it makes a lot of noise, and almost pops and sounds like things are snapping at time. when the water is low, or not as full as it needs to be. Why is that an issue? Because if you hit the button to stop making ice, the ice chamber is kept cold enough, and the ice melts. On my first usage, I had a full bin of ice... awesome.. hit the stop making ice button, left for a few hours, and came back and half the ice had melted. So keeping it on ice mode, was the old way I could keep ice cold and frozen. So.. next nit pick.. wet/moisture each time I take out the drawer. yes there is the drip tray, but also should have a tool, as nothing I could do would keep some water from dripping, and always missing the tray. and have to clean up the front of the device. Next, the scoop. great there is one, but when I try to fill a scoop against the side of the bin, there isn't enough room in the tray to level out the scoop so I don't pour out ice out of the scoop as I am trying to get a full scoop. And draining and cleaning... oh boy.. got myself soaked, when trying to pull off the drain cap, as while I didn't see any water in the tube ,it was full and under pressure.. not fun. So now for some of the good (it wasn't all bad) It did make GOOD ice. The size is great for this type of device, and works great for the Nalgene and glasses, as well is a good size for smoothies. It is also pretty quick, in under an hour we had a full bin, or near a full bin. Very easy to fill, if you have a water bottle or something with a good spout that can go into the device, the first pitcher I used was a little wide, but not hard to find something that worked well. So this was an okay device, just really wanted it to be better. I could live with most things, but the fact that I had to keep it in Ice MAKING mode, and it didn't stay cold enough that even a few hours most ice would melt, that was the deal breaker.

The ice maker lasts about a year and then goes out. We bought the warranty for the ice maker and when we used it the ice maker is the exact same thing but with a different model number. We will never buy anything at best buy again.

Bought the same product twice and both times it lasted less than a month. I recommend anyone to spend a few more bucks and buy yourself a GE produc insted.

Returning my third one. The first two just quit making Ice. The third one did fine then it makes Ice sometime and other times it does not.

After a year we found pieces of black plastic in the ice. If you purchase this, get the extended warranty.

Terrible product. 1st one failed in a month, 2nd one failed in 3 months. Cleaned regularly and still failed.

It quit working after the first week and can’t get thru to support. I’ve waited twice on the phone for 45 mins.

Box is old, product looked used, i didn't find out untill i come back from vacation, but its too late

Already broke . Water leaking out back , nowhere near where water line is . Dissatisfied. Disappointed.
