Purchase this during a flash sale for my new office. My rating is based on price point - I listen to both CNBC, MLB and various music channels through my SiriusXM subscription and it does a solid, if unspectacular, job. If you're a true audiophile then move on; otherwise, I can easily recommend this product.

For the price, I really have no room to complain about this. The sound quality is perfectly fine for me. If I have to find fault, it would be that I wish the bass could be set to a more substantial setting. Perhaps the top volume could be slightly higher as well. Overall, I have been pleased with this product.

I have had a RocketFish 2.1 speaker setup on one computer that I like a lot that is (sadly) no longer available so I went with this Insignia 2.1 for my other computer setup. The sound is good, although not as impressive as the RocketFish, but it's a good value at this price point.

I sell records on the Discogs website. I have to play them to assign a proper grade and I do this on a turntable playing through my desktop. These speakers provide great sound and enable me to hear any defects in the records.

We were pleasantly surprised by the sound quality coming from these small profile speakers. Being musicians we tend to be really picky about our sound quality :) but have not been disappointed in the least with these.

I use these speakers for my Korg workstation keyboard. They work very well. For the price, I was expecting lower quality, but they make my keyboard sound like a real piano.

I have nothing against Insignia but I was very skeptical buying any of their products and that is mainly due to rumors. I needed speakers ASAP and did not want to spend too much on speakers. I came into the store with a budget and this is absolutely what I was looking for. Great quality with a low price.

These were amazingly loud with the sub really kicking deep for just a few dollars. The vloume control is a bit wonky and makes the wiring a bit cluttery for a 2.1 system. as long as you have enough space on your desktop it's a real bargain.

Works great with my TV I use them through the headphones ports it's a whole lot cheaper than a sound bar

I bought this computer speaker set (with small subwoofer) in October 2016. The sound was pretty decent, and I really liked the volume knob with headphone jack that could mounted anywhere. In February 2017, the right full range speaker and the headphone jack suddenly stopped working. I wiggled the wire on the rear of the right speaker, and it would cut in and out. The speaker would only work if I held the speaker wire a certain way. The headphone jack failure is likely due to the speaker wire issue. Here is my 2 cents - . I have been in manufacturing for over 20 years. This is a manufactured product, and I understand that not every single product made is absolutely guaranteed to work. Usually when something does not work when it is used well within the parameters of it's intended use, it means that the product was poorly made. On average....15-20% of electronics (or electrical related products) fail within a few years. These speakers failed within 5 months, and it is likely related to a bad solder joint....which is really pretty sad....hence the 1 star rating. You may buy this product and be in the 15-20% of consumers (like me), or you may not be. Roll the dice.

For the price this is a nice speaker set. I get a lot of sound out of it, more than you would expect for the wattage rating. The sharpness isn't there, but I didn't really expect it to be. I also enjoy the look of the speakers.

My Insignia speakers with subwoofer sound really good for the price I paid. Best Buy Insignia brand products that I purchased and still use are good quality. The speakers and subwoofer are just the right ones I needed for my desktop. Would recommend!
