They help prevent stick drift and make the controller more comfortable. I have bought several controllers for my son due to him constantly breaking the joysticks but with these on it reduces the chance of that happening. Definitely recommend this product for kids!

The textured grips are comfortable and your thumbs wont slip. If you play online FPS games these are well worth it. Insignia brand best price too.
