Great for legacy devices

The monitor only has hdmi inputs and a vga for computer. So this was exactly what I needed to get up and running. Simple hookup. 5 minutes or less and I was operational. Note that it is only one way - RCA In -> HDMI Out.

Came with the power cord too! Purchased an HDMI to HDMI cable from Best Buy to complete the converter. I was watching old family movies in seconds!

This item allows you to play back what you have recorded as well as whatever VHS tapes and dvd discs in your library. It works and is only limited by your VHS and DVD specifications.

I also have an older style camcorder. It uses the really small disks by Sony. Problem was I never could record something, then watch it on my TV screen. So I asked a rep at Best Buy what I should do, and he said the buy the Insignia RCA to HDMI Converter to straighten out my problem. Boy.....did it ever! Thanks Best Buy!

The product works as described. I have a PS2 and my system plugs into my LCD tv. The graphics went from bad to better with my old HDMI cable. Nothing mind blowing but the games run smoothly.

The new rectangular TV's would not work. I was converting everything to streaming and the Insignia converter allowed me to do that with these older TV's as suggested by the salesperson at the Best Buy Eden Prairie store. It is so nice to deal with knowledgeable people!
