puchased one for an old Wii and worked perfectly , got a second one for new 75 tv to old top notch surround but it did not work at all . Dont think it was the convertors fault but dont really know .

Although I could find similar products online cheaper, I like to be able to see things in person before I buy. Luckily Best Buy had exactly what I was looking for. We have several newer TVs we wanted to hook our old still working DVD and VCR players up to. All 3 TVs only had the HDMI connections, non of the "old" red, white, yellow RCA connections. I also liked this product because it came with it's power supply included (many online do not). It is much easier to purchase the needed HDMI cable in the length we wanted than trying to figure out the right power supply. It took less than 15 minutes to connect everything. For those of us less tech savvy I was able to connect correctly on the first try. For those worried about picture quality I didn't notice anything different when I watched my DVD/VCR players. This is also great if your TV Wall Mount bracket is blocking access to your RCA connections, this can be an alternative.

I had to replace my 5-Disk Sony DVD player when the old unit began freezing up frequently and became unusable. That unit had HDMI out, but all of the 5-Disk Sony players I found on other sites only had RCA A/V or component out connections. Since my 42-inch Hisense TV doesn't have component in, I was stuck using the RCA A/V connection. It only provided 480i output and would not render 16x9 on my TV. The TV did a good job upscaling, but it still was as good as the old unit using HDMI at 1080P. Another factor is I have a Logitech Universal remote that is no longer serviced by Logitech and can't be adjusted, so It would only access the HDMI input and the DVD player was hooked up using RCA A/V input. I actually bought the Insignia RCA to HDMI converter to resolve that issue with the remote but was pleasantly surprised the converter outputs in 1080P and 16X9 so it solved all of my issues.

My Father in-law was wanting to watch his old VHS tapes on his new smart TV and this made it possible. Easy to install and works like a charm. The employees at my local BB were very helpful once I explained what I was trying to do.

Used to connect DVD with RCA outputs to Smart TV 4K 60Hz HDMI . Used a 6 ft HDMI 1.X cable (not supplied). Picture quality is 4 out of 5 stars. No noticable difference between 720 and 1080p switch settings so keeping on 720. Comes with transformer and non-usb power cable. Paid more than I would have preferred, but didn't want to go too cheap. Best Buy shipping took three days.

We had a 13 year old LCD HD720 ~32" TV that suddenly failed. It was pre-HDMI connections . My wife had become used to using our Digital to Analog converter box that allowed us to watch over-the-air digital broadcasts from the one station we received. When I replaced the failed TV which had only antenna coax inputs and RCA connectors, the new "smart" TV had only antenna and HDMI connectors, and would not operate in a way that she could understand. This adapter worked perfectly to allow us to use the old A-D converter box which (by comparison) has a great user interface allowing my wife to be able to both switch among the digital sub-channels, and know what was currently being shown, what was coming up. Happy wife.

Perfect for the older video game consoles. Easiest set up, self explanatory, does what it needs to do and does it good.

This Composite to HDMI Converter worked very well for me. I am using it in conjunction with a VCR/DVD player with the RCA type white, red & yellow outputs and was able to connect to an HDMI input on my TV and select the 1080 resolution setting on the converter which resulted in a good picture. I thought this product was a little pricey at first so I had bought another brand at another store which was about half the price, but that one would not provide a picture in the 1080 setting, only the 720 resolution setting, and the TV picture was not very good with that cheaper converter. So I decided to pay the extra for this Insignia brand converter at Best Buy and it was worth it.

Works perfectly for my old Xbox and Dreamcast! Great to be able to play old classics in their original form on moder screens!

Perfect gadget for what I needed. Allowed me to connect a Laser Disk Player to Flat Screen TV which only had HDMI inputs. Works great. Could not be more satisfied.

Works great, connects my old vintage gaming systems to HDMI TV that doesn't have any RCA ports. You just need a HDMI cord and it comes with a plugin to plug into an outlet to work. It gives a clear picture and haven't experienced any issues so far. I highly recommend

This product does exactly what I needed it to do. What it does is it takes an old game console with the red, white, yellow RCA cable hookups and converts them to an HDMI cable to plug into a TV that does not have the RCA hookups on it. Simple and effective. It also has a switch on it. It changes it from 720p to 1080p, but I don't really notice too much difference when it comes to using it on my Nintendo GameCube. Also you have to plug it into a power outlet for the device to work. But other than that, it's pretty simple and straightforward. It does not convert the other way around. Like if you wanted to convert HDMI to RCA, this is the wrong device as it only converts one way.

Works Great! No issues at all. I got this to hookup a wii to a modern TV and it works perfect. Good picture quality too.

This product worked way better then expected like at first glance it looks cheap and probably very breakable haha, but I still have it and I have not had a single problem with this device when I use it for my Wii

I have many family VHS tapes recorded when my children WERE children (they’re now 35 & 36); and I wanted to watch them and review content, timing, and the quality of the recordings. I wanted to convert an older VHS tape player from the standard AV plugs (red, yellow, white) to the Smart TV HDMI plugin. I was looking at the converter, and the connecting cable (from converter to TV input). I thought that I had the correct items, but a young employee came and asked me, “Are you finding what you’re looking for!” I related what my goal was, and it turns out that the converter and cable I had selected were backwards from what I needed. He pulled the correct items out, and I am now sharing history with my kids. As many laughs now, if not more, than 30-35 years ago. THANK YOU YOUNG TECH GUY! Thank You Best Buy!!

I have a 20 year old camcorder and was looking for a way to play the videos of my daughter when she was little on our TV. I ran across this device at Best Buy - it is amazing! I was able to connect it to my camcorder and TV in less than 5 minutes. It worked perfectly and gave us many hours of joy watching these old videos on a big screen. This converter was worth every penny and I highly recommend it.

This product works exactly as advertised. It converts an analog RCA connection to HDMI in either 720 or 1080. I am using it to connect my Wii to my Sony LED-LCD television with no issues. It is a little expensive, considering other online retailers have similar products for less, but Best Buy keeps them in stock locally and was able to do curb-side pick-up in under an hour. Call it a convenience fee, either way the converter does exactly what I wanted. Also, unlike many competitors, this product includes all the necessary power cables and adapters to use out of the box.

I've tried some different RCA to HDMI converters from Amazon to hook up an old Nintendo GameCube. My newer TV's don't have RCA connections. The others either never worked, or the picture was lousy. This converter worked great! The picture looks great. I don't see any difference between the 720 & 1080 settings, but who cares, the image looks crisp. I'm sure there has to be some loss at the edges, but I couldn't tell. It's not a cheap unit, but I got it on sale which made it more palatable. Highly recommend.
