Does this work, Yes. Have I owned it only for two days, Yes. Why am I leaving a review so fast, because I am tech savvy and can work out issues on my own. The reason for purchase, to play my N64 On a AOC 32" Monitor with hdmi display. It took some meddling with the settings on the monitor and after crashing 3 times I actually read this little book used to describe how to diagnose certain issues that are likely to happen and presto. I come to find that to play my N64 with this device, it must be set to 1080p, not 720. I am still concerned there is a slight frame loss but you have to understand here that in 2021 (current at time of writting) Composite or the red white and yellow connections on most TV's don't exist anymore. So, for a company to design one and for it work on newer devices especially transferring from composite to hdmi is a really pleasing. I am thankful that it works for the purpose of playing my N64 on a newer monitor, not even a tv screen. PC MASTER RACE.

Easy to hook up. Remember also needs to be plugged into the wall for power. Using with a 75 inch Sony and 55 inch Sony. Tv.

This tiny little box will be increasingly more useful as fewer and fewer TVs come with RCA ports built in. I use it to play my PS2 on a 70-ish inch TV screen and I haven't noticed and issues with the audio or video aside from the obvious graininess that comes with putting an old game not made for HD on a huge HD screen. My only problem with this product is that Best Buy is charging $50 for it, which just seems like a lot to me, especially because they have a product that does the reverse of this one and costs much less. The hardware present in this converter probably justifies the cost but maybe it's just more expensive because demand is higher.

I needed to convert some old Hi8 tapes to digital. This was perfect.

Needed the Converter box to hook up to older TV that did not have enough slots in the back of the TV to hook it up directly to the TV its self.

I need a device that would convert RCA to HDMI. I have an old Insignia DVD/VCR and I wanted to connect to my new Samsung OLED TV. This Insignia RCA to HDMI converter did the trick. With the side switch in high def the SD quality output from the VCR was upscaled. These tapes are at least 40 years old and really rough. It was so great to the family all together. I plane to copy the VHS tapes to the built in DVD recorder for future viewing.

Works as advertised. Good for retro gaming (PS2, Xbox, etc.) on modern TVs

My daughter gave me her Wii system to set up at my house so her children could play it when they're here. Unfortunately, it wouldn't work correctly on any of the televisions we have in our home. I researched online and discovered this converter provides the required white, red and yellow plugs needed to get color and clear pictures from the Wii. Of course, Best Buy carries it. It is easy to install and works perfectly. Just what I needed.

Worked as expected. No issues. Allowed me to connect an old gaming system to a new TV which only has HDMI connections. Allowed for some nostalgic fun with old games. (picture quality of old systems is poor for newer TV resolution capabilities of course)

I tried several cheaper versions of this adaptor before buying this one and none of them worked with my screens and consoles. This one works great! If you have old electronics with component cables and need to convert them to HDMI, then this is the adaptor for you.

The installer of my TV instructed me to which converter to buy so I could view my old cherished homemade VHS tapes. Best Buys Geek Squad installed and he was very knowledgeable and efficient. l can now see all my dance videos from the 1980s featuring my kids. I have been wanting to do this for a long time!!! Compared prices for Composite/RCA to HDMI Converters. This was a few dollars more, but made by Insignia, which is a well known brand and quality product for the money. I needed to hook-up my old VCR to my Smart LED TV. We've got a lot of old movies on VHS tape, and we wanted to watch them again after many years. Some of the movies are available on Blu Ray DVD, but we noticed that some of the content of the movie is missing. Our old VHS tapes have the entire movie content. This Converter works perfectly with the VCR. It has a switchable screen resolution, a small power pack wall plug in adapter. Easy hook-up. You need to supply the HDMI cable, and the Composite cable. I'd recommend this brand/Converter for this task.

We just purchased a new TV and needed to connect our DVD player to the new TV. This converter was the key. It is easy to use and to connect to our TV and DVD player.

Currently using this to help stream my atari 7800 on my twitch. To me a while to find a way that works but this was the missing link. I bought a cheaper version of a product supposed to do the same thing and tried 2 different ones and it was a flop. On a whim I got this knowing I could return it, BUT IT WORKS! PERFECT for hooking up an old version to a monitor, video capture card or newer tv.
