Compared prices for Composite/RCA to HDMI Converters. This was a few dollars more, but made by Insignia, which is a well known brand and quality product for the money. I needed to hook-up my old VCR to my Smart LED TV. We've got a lot of old movies on VHS tape, and we wanted to watch them again after many years. Some of the movies are available on Blu Ray DVD, but we noticed that some of the content of the movie is missing. Our old VHS tapes have the entire movie content. This Converter works perfectly with the VCR. It has a switchable screen resolution, a small power pack wall plug in adapter. Easy hook-up. You need to supply the HDMI cable, and the Composite cable. I'd recommend this brand/Converter for this task.

Works like a charm, I wanted to connect my Nintendo Wii to my newer smart TV and it works without issue. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting to play retro consoles that use RWY cables on current TVs.

Currently using this to help stream my atari 7800 on my twitch. To me a while to find a way that works but this was the missing link. I bought a cheaper version of a product supposed to do the same thing and tried 2 different ones and it was a flop. On a whim I got this knowing I could return it, BUT IT WORKS! PERFECT for hooking up an old version to a monitor, video capture card or newer tv.

It's hard to imagine in today's world a movie that's not available in DVD or streaming mode. However, there are some movies for which that is the case; movies available only on VCR format. The movie MASADA is such a movie. Because our TVs and and all TVs produced now are HDMI the only way we could watch this movie was the RCA to HDMI converter. The converter performs exactly as advertised. It's an excellent product.

Worked as expected. No issues. Allowed me to connect an old gaming system to a new TV which only has HDMI connections. Allowed for some nostalgic fun with old games. (picture quality of old systems is poor for newer TV resolution capabilities of course)

Needed the Converter box to hook up to older TV that did not have enough slots in the back of the TV to hook it up directly to the TV its self.

Perfect for attaching an old vhs/dvd machine to my hdmi monitor. I found it a bit costly, but it worked without a hitch.

This converter is very easy to hook up. I used it to be able to use an older DVD player with a new TV. I already had the existing RCA cables from the hook up to the old TV. Just needed to buy a HDMI cable to run from the converter to the new TV. You also need a power source nearby to plug in the converter. The picture quality was as better than before. Of course the new TV helped, but the converter didn't detract from the picture quality.

Wow this device actually worked. Connect vhs player, laserdisc, or virtuallt anything rca and our hdmi to your modern tv. Itll "upscale" dvd or laserdisc to 1080p. Get a cleaner lookimg signal for vhs too. I highly recommend for retro enthusiasts.

I needed to convert some old Hi8 tapes to digital. This was perfect.

Simple to use and self explanatory. Anyone looking to play an old game system or use some tech using RCA cords. Definitely worth buying if you are looking for a converter. Makes playing my old game systems easy

We were a little skeptical about this working so easily and quickly…. But we were proven wrong by the ease and efficiency of this little device. It was a complete plug-and-play for us, and we had a great time using our old Nintendo system.! it works seamlessly.

The Insignia RCA to HDMI Converter was just what I needed to add more devices to the TV. Now I can easily switch from the TV to Roku or an added device like the XBox, all with one remote. Excellent device for what you need.

We just purchased a new TV and needed to connect our DVD player to the new TV. This converter was the key. It is easy to use and to connect to our TV and DVD player.

Works great with my old optimum cable box picture is beautiful on my new TV but having my cable box updated to 4K resolution. Don’t know if converter will be compatible with new cable box. would’ve gotten this converted for $15 instead of $30 if bought on Amazon.
