It does it Job. Don't expect upscale

It takes AV devices so you can use it on a HDMI only input TV. Don't expect upscaling picture. I used it so I will be able to Zelda Ocarina of Time on the N64 and it looks muddy and dark that it is hard to see. Almost unplayable. But brighter games are ok. Of course this meant for connecting old AV devices to newer HDMI TV. For that it gets 3 stars
