The lamp works great. There are 2 brightness settings, however, there is not a huge difference between the two. The only other thing I would say could improve this reading lamp would be a longer shaft in order to use it at a greater height above whatever surface its clipped onto and/or have more options in regards to directionality since increased length would allow even more flexibility.

Provides bright light, very adequate for reading. Lightweight and unobtrusive.

When you can get it to sit right on a book, it does exactly what you think it'll do, give light to read a book. But sometimes the shape of it is awkward to clip onto the book and the adjustable head on mine has not been flexible enough to turn around all the way so I can read without issue. I have had better luck clipping the light to something nearby and reading near that instead. batteries last on it a long time, and it has different strengths of light. but overall its been a bit awkward to use but it does work fine when you find the sweet spot.

This book light has a lot of things going for it. It's bright, has two different brightness settings depending on your preference, and uses AAA batteries which are much cheaper to replace than those that use smaller batteries like you see in watches. My only complaint is that the battery pack faces the wrong way. In my opinion, it should clip to the outside of the book so it is easier to manage. If I try to clip it on that way now, the flexible neck has to be twisted around in order to angle the light properly so it illuminates the page.

Works as advertised. I clip it to books and notebooks with ease. Sheds plenty of light on the subject

I would give it 5 stars for just the fact that it works with a normal battery, an AAA. For reading in the middle of the night the light is too strong and blue. I guess that's typical for these tiny reading lamps. I ended up wrapping a yellow plastic around the light in order to dim it (and filter out the blue).

This is a great tool for when you want to read a book in the dark and don’t want to wake up your roommate. Only thing I wish it had a light temp mode because it’s a bright LED blue light but was able to use a cloth in order to soften the light.

I use this light for reading before bed, and found that the blue LED light was a bit too bright. I remedied that by taping a small piece of orange tissue paper over the light. Now it's a nice warm-tinted light that helps relax me while I read :) I also bought one for my mom, and she really likes it as well.

Its light is soft. It is readily transportable and convenient for reading in bed.

I got this light so I could read books at night. It works perfectly! It has two light settings; I haven't even bothered with the dimmer setting. The battery needed to be changed after I read one book, but I was happy with the length of time the battery lasted. The packaging suggests clipping the light to the book but I just clip it to the shirt I'm wearing. I definitely would recommend this light to anybody.
