I'd like to explain that this device is designed to output a bright, continuous light source for videos with the front or rear camera on a phone. As a result, it does not function like a traditional camera flash for still images but can surely be used creatively for still images like close-up macro shots, or illuminating objects from the side to give a more dramatic effect.
