My Archam receiver when behind a glass door the remote doesn’t work. So, all the time I have to keep the glass door open while operating my receiver. But, this product fixed my issue and I no longer need to open the glass door to operate my receiver.

This product is advertised for people who place the electronics that are controlled by a remote inside a cabinet such as part of an entertainment center. I wanted it for controlling a cable TV box in my master bedroom that was not located in line of sight of my remote (it was positioned below my footboard). The product worked well for this. my only complaint is I wished the other extenders were removable so I would have a cleaner look instead of all of them being wrapped around the HDMI cable leading from the TV on the wall to the cable box.

I bought the Insignia Remote Extender Kit, due to having to route all my A/V equipment behind my TV into another room. It is very easy to setup and has resolved all of my needs in being able to control all of my devices.

Once attached it’s very straightforward, but could use some words or a sheet with commonly purchased items and where to find the sensor

Bought this remote extender to operate multiple A/V components located in a cabinet in our newly finished basement Rec room. It works, but the only difficulty was locating the correct placement of the sensors and keeping them in place. The sticky back adhesive pads do not hold very well so ended up using black electrical tape to secure the wires just above where the sensors need to be. That hardly shows and the components are hidden in the cabinet anyhow.

i recently bought some AV storage cabinets since i needed somewhere to put everything after I wall mounted my tv above my fireplace. Everything looked great, but the signal through the glass cabinet doors was lacking, so I purchased this remote extender and woahla, it works perfectly.

I read the reviews before purchasing and when placing the "eyes" went ahead and used a stronger 2/sided tape. Works great.

Item works as described. Provided length of wire is sufficient for the application. "Eyes" stick on to the unit you want to control very securely, thus preventing you to remove it and put onto another unit if you get a new piece of equipment. Plan before you apply.

Looks to be of high quality and makes the job connecting remote A/V components a breeze.
Note: Some small pieces of clear (not "Scotch Tape") vinyl tape to attach the remote eyes would have been nice, but this certainly does not detract from the quality or usefulness of the product.

Our Geek Squad rep recommended this product. We were having to open the cabinet door of our entertainment center every time we watched TV and changed the channels. The remote extender lets us keep the doors closed all the time with a neat uncluttered look. My wife is delighted.

Works as advertised. My av equipment was in a cabnit so couldn’t get IR signal on devices to recognize remote. Hooked this up with included instructions. Took a few minutes tops and now can use remotes with no fuss at all.

Works very well! I did find that the sticker glue wasn't good like the other reviews so I replaced those with contact ones commonly used for picture hangers and that worked like a charm. I would recommend this to anyone looking to hide components behind a wall or a door.

The cables come with an attached USB charger, or can get power (via USB) from an available port on the TV. Each sender comes with an attached sticky pad for locating the sender on a device. Proper placement is important. I had no trouble at all. 10 min setup.
