I initially purchased the original unit while it was on sale, not realizing that the filter would degrade so quickly. On average, I need to replace it every three months. While frequent replacement might be acceptable for some, the $40 cost per filter adds up quickly and makes it hard to justify. Ultimately, I decided to stop using this system altogether and switched to a different air purifier to avoid the ongoing expense and hassle.
