I was very pleased the remote immediately worked on my 2 LG plasma TV's(1 3D, 1 regular) after installing 2(non-included) AAA batteries without worrying about reprogramming or using fancy codes! I wish this Insignia LG universal TV remote were similar priced to $29.99 Insignia Samsung & Sony-specific TV remotes,however, it was $5 higher($34.99). At least I get My Best Buy points credited in the end! Bottom line: a worthy LG TV remote control replacement!

To my surprise, even for a six year old TV, the remote works very well. Set up was easy.
