I was fairly pleased with the ease of setup, even though not all functions worked as listed on its Quick Start Guide. A couple of days ago, all of a sudden, the red LED light went wild and finally I had to remove the batteries to make it stop. After putting a new set of batteries in, as I thought that to be the cause, the problem persisted until I read the review of Anthony C. who posted the issue of "buttons getting stuck in the down position". True enough that was the reason for my remote malfunction as I discovered after lifting up the pesky 'stuck button' and to my relief my remote worked again! For this reason I cannot give it a high rating as it makes me doubt the quality of this product. At the same time I would like to thank the reviewer who first reported this issue as it spared me a call to Insignia Customer Service.

I was not disappointed as it worked right out of the box!! I am so thankful that it did because I was unable to connect to the smart tv features or select different ports without the remote. My family lost the original magic remote, but this was an excellent replacement. I highly recommend!! I have an LG smart TV with model number: 55UB8500-UA.

I didn’t even have to do anything to set it up. I just turned the tv off with the original remote, took out the batteries and threw it in the garbage, pressed the power button on the new remote and the tv turned right on. Never had a problem since.

This is the one to go with if you need a new remote for your LG TV.
