It's very easy to use & is the same as our original (which still works). We got an extra remote just to have them in 2 places in the room. We did not like the remote that came with our Samsung TV (which has very few buttons & is therefore more tedious to use).

This works well and retains almost all the functionality of the original controller without the frustrations that came with using a trackpad. The buttons to go up and go down one channel require you to push and hold, but otherwise the controller works really well.

So the replacement remote takes some programming for specific buttons and the Directional buttons do most of the work just like the OEM remote. I wish it glowed in the dark or lit up like the Samsung remote that is identical. Other than that. It's worth it.
