Very easy to work on a Sony tv with no programming or needing to figure anything out. Just push the button and the tv is on. The original remote was lost. This was a substantially more economical option than a universal remote costing three times as much. I would have paid more to include voice option- that’s my only reason for taking off a star. But the original lost remote didn’t have voice either.

Great easy to set Up, and was here in a few days!!!

This remote is easy to use and is high quality. I can watch cable and internet with no issues. The remote has good directions on how to use it and it is durable. My grandson is unable to break it and he sure tries it by throwing it.

Remote works right out the box. Easy to use and setup was simple. Highly recommend this remote to anyone who use Sony TV to replace an older remote.

This item is perfect. When our original remote died, I thought that was the end of a perfectly working tv. Best Buy sold me a remote specially designed for Sony and it works as well as the original.

This purchase was a project. I went to the Yonkers, NY store to purchase this remote because I needed it immediately and the website said they had three Open Box remotes in excellent condition which were advertised at almost half the price of brand new. I went to the rack but there were no open box remotes. The sales rep claimed that none were in stock. I asked how that could be; the rep said they were probably stolen. If someone were going to steal a remote control, wouldn't they steal a brand new one? The rack was full of brand new remotes. I then went to the store in Riverdale, NY which supposedly also had the same item in stock. I did find it, but when the salesperson scanned it at the register it came up at full price. The salesperson told me it had to be re-entered into inventory and re-ticketed as an Open Box item even though the box had the Open Box tags and condition on it. That took half an hour. When it was ready, the salesperson scanned it again; this time the price came up much higher than what was advertised on the website for Open Box, excellent condition. He advised that the pricing of open box items varies from store to store. I asked him to price match to Best Buy's website-advertised price. I then had to wait for another ten minutes while he got managerial approval to price match. When I finally got it home and put the batteries in, the power light lit up, but it did not turn on my Bravia KDL-55W800 tv. I spent about forty minutes trying to get it to connect, following the directions in the little brochure. Nothing. I wondered if the previous customer had returned it because it just didn't work properly. I then tried to get it to connect to my 20 year old Sony tv; it connected immediately, turning the set off. I turned it off and on a couple of times, and played around with the volume and menu settings. It worked. It figures, as I already have a working remote for that set. I was preparing to go back to the store to return the remote when I decided, for the heck of it, to try again to turn on my Sony Bravia with it . NOW IT WORKED!! I wouldn't have to throw my tv out after all!! It must have somehow "reset" itself when it connected with the other Sony TV. When I pressed the App keys, all of which should have been blank for me to program, Netflix came up. Evidently, this remote was not properly reset and/or tested by Best Buy staff before reselling it to someone else. I am giving it a rating of "Good" rather than excellent because it does not duplicate all of the functions of the original Sony remote, while at the same time it wastes keys on duplicate functions (i.e. the Back button and the Exit button seem to do exactly the same thing) and on functions that do not seem to have a purpose in today's market (a Digi/Analog button?). The brochure explains how to perform a few functions, but not all, and provides no diagram or "key" to indicate what functions are controlled by buttons that only have symbols. Some buttons seem to do absolutely nothing, but maybe their functionality depends on the tv model or whether you are watching tv using an antenna versus cable or satellite. I am using an antenna to watch broadcast television. I called tech support for information, but they had the same brochure I had and were not given any additional information. However, this remote does have the keys that I need to easily get deep into the tv's menu to set up internet access, relink correct channel programming within the program guide and perform other features that I was unable to access using an RCA universal remote which did not have all of the required keys.

This remote is very well made. Has like a matte texture and allows grip. My gusband really like the options on the remote. Good for the price, but is pricey. Link with my TV right away.

This remote works well as a replacement for the original remote for our Sony TV. Has all the same functionality and paired with our TV with no programming.

Purchased this remote to replace the original remote for my 5 year old sony bravia. Right out of the bix it worked. I did not have to program anything, it was real easy. Would recommend this as a replacement remote if you have to get a new Sony 4k TV remote.

The device works as well as the original brand, except for one thing. The signal doesn’t hop over the sound bar in front of the tv set to change stations or volume like the original did. Do we have to hold the remote up high in the air to use it for changes..

Worked right out of the box for the x93L no issues with programming or setting up.
