    If by some chance you still have a TV without AV jacks (cable screw on terminal only) & somehow obtained an AV device (DVD Player, etc.) you don't need to purchase a new model TV. All you need is the Insignia - RF Modulator. Screw on the cable from TV to the Insignia - RF Modulator & plug in your AV device at the other end of the Insignia - RF Modulator & Wallah ! You can now watch DVD's.

    My dad needed this to connect a vintage video game system. He figured it out on his own. He has trouble with technology and hooking things up. This does require power as well as the connection to the tv. It needs its own power source.

    My parent's have an older tv that doesn't have a HDMI port. This device was easy to install and allowed them to plug in the cable from the wall to pick up channels. Would recommend.

    My previous Sony Audio Receiver dies after tears of service, so I bought a Sony 1155Watt Receiver ion its place. The only issue was that this receiver did not directly connect to coax. This device has 2 coax in-puts along with a 3-plug PCM output to your receiver. And a coax output that we directly attached to the coax input on out 55-inch Sony TV.

    We bought this so that we can hook up our kids' video games when we stay in our favorite beach hotel. The TV's in this hotel do not allow AV access, just cable access, so we use this device to convert the video game AV (yellow video, white and red audio plugs) to an RF (cable) signal. It works great.
