Glad I got them, since reviews said they retain smells of what was cooked. They do, but I've not noticed any effects on what is cooked next. Still, good to have replacements, since they're a necessary component to the system.

With these extra seals, I can and do alternate them for certain foods. These seals are a perfect fit for the Insignia 6 quart pot, but I don't know if they will fit other brand pots.

Our first one developed a strong smell from the food we cooked in it. We could not get the smell out no matter what. We purchased this 2 pack and threw the original away.

Maybe keep one for cakes or starch's and another for pungent foods.
