This induction top was purchased as a portable unit to use in a bar room. Overall this performs nearly as well as our built in kitchen induction top. It is extremely responsive and has provides the level of temperature control you can only find in an induction cooktop. I highly recommend this not only as a secondary cooktop but even as a primary cooktop if you do not already have an induction top in your kitchen.

Does what it’s suppose to do. Can’t beat it for the price. Only certain metals work.

Beware: make sure your outlet is strong enough to provide power to the unit. Read the specs! I tripped the fuse box on first use. I have a house that's 30 years old. Also make sure you have compatible cookware for the device. Yes induction ready pots and pans. That said, it worked great. Perception wise it seems to boil water faster. I'll need to do an experiment between this and the gas stove.

Works well, used to cook eggs, burgers, and saute onions. Heats up quickly. compact easy to use.

Unpacked, and it went to work immediately, Gave it a good test boiling water and it quickly brought it up to temperature. This will be my 3rd induction cooktop, a first with Insignia, and must say it passed my tests. (my previous 2 cooktops: I dropped an unopened can of beans on the surface and wore out the buttons on the second)

I had bought one from the same brand, the 1300 watts unit and was disappointed as it was slow to heat up. This one is much more powerful!

It's fast to heat things up. The only issue is having the right cookware for it.

Bought for my daughter's dorm room. It needed to have auto-shut off in order to be okay. When cooking with the timer it shuts off after desired time. We tested it at home before her going to college and it was so fast. They sent a magnet with the cooktop so you can be sure you get the right pots/pans. Magnet must stick to your cookware in order for it to work properly. I think it was a great addition!

Heats strong and fast. Very portable and easy to use. Replaced our butane burner.

It heats up faster than a conventional stove top, easy to clean and maintain.

Basic but saves money during these hard times. It was a little confusing to get it going the first time, but soon learnt how to use it. We now use it too cook everything to save on butane gas which is really expensive now. We were able to fry eggs in less than 3 mins. It's the future.

Heat your pot very fast. Loud working noise but acceptable.

Good product for occasional use easy to use and fast heating

Got this as I needed an additional burner that I can use outside during a hot day, or while grilling ( I have a Outlet outside) and it works great. I sit. Have to worry about the flame being blown out of it gets windy. I highly recommend this induction burner. Works great with my cast iron skillet.
