Our 6 year old received a 3DS XL for Christmas. He's known for dropping things and we needed a durable case for his new device. We looked for the older Nerf cases but could only find them in pink. We then stumbled upon this Insignia case at Best Buy and decided to give it a shot. After reading a few of the reviews there seems to be some confusion about if it will fit your device. This case is designed for the older 3DS XLs and not the new 3DS XLs. If you have the newer model this is not the case you are looking for. The only reason I did't give it 5 stars is because it does leave the hinge exposed. It covers the bottom, top, and sides well but it leaves the hinge and triggers exposed to drops. Other than that my 6 year old is happier with this case than the original case we purchased for him.

Did not fit the new nintendo 3dsxl game. Disappointed.

Had to return because it's extremely hard to put the system in and take out to the point when your doing either your system feels like it might break and its covers the slot to take out or put the game in or charge the system or even use the pen you literally have to take the whole case off everytime to use any of the ports

Buying this was well worth the money since I protects my 3DS from falls and everything. It as well has a great grip where it won't slim from your slim and helps when your hands are sweaty from hour long sessions. It doesn't work with the circle pad pro sadly but it is easily able to take off when you need to but I don't recommend it if you do it often as it might damage the 3DS with scratches. It also fits well with travel 3ds xl cases but it might be a tight fit but most should work with the case on as well. Get it if you value your 3DS XL!

It did not fit the 3DS XL. I would strongly recommend you only buy it in a brick and mortar store, or be ready to return it if it doesn't fit. Best Buy employee told me that some of them surprisingly will not fit the newer XL's but there is no note anywhere to know this at the time of purchase..

I purchased this for my son and was excited to get it. Although it says it's for the Nintendo 3dxl, it doesn't fit at all. It doesn't even have the right holes for it!!! I still gave it one star because the quality looked good and would have loved it if it did fit.

I was hoping that this product would have worked out however it was too small to fit.

The case would not snap on to the device, I wasted my money.

I have purchased 3 different cases for my 3ds xl so far, and this one has been the best! It's lightweight but still very protective at the same time. Buying one for both of my sons as well!

I anxiously waited around a week for this to come in, and when it did, I was ecstatic before I even opened the box. It was impossible to find cases for the older 3DS XL's and when I did, I normally wasn't pleased. But after some searching on the internet, I stumbled across this and I fell in love with it right away. You really can't beat free shipping and 15 dollars off the original price! You don't have a choice of what color you want the case to be, which kind of irritated at first but I grew on it (I originally wanted a black on black color scheme, but it came out black on blue). Other than that, I highly recommend this case if you're in ownership of the OLD 3DS XL, not the NEW 3DS XL. It's sturdy and the texture all around the case gives you a nice grip. Oh, and yes, it fits perfectly fine with the "Insignia™ - Go Case." Was worth the 5 dollars!

I was looking for a case that protected my kids nintendo 3ds xl...this is perfect... kids like it too:)

I bought this for my boys DS. I got it on sale so it has great value. It looks cool and has a really nice rubber like texture so it's easy to hold and doesn't slide around

I recently received a brand new "New Nintendo 3DS XL", sorry for the double news, but it is essential to keep this word in in the title since Nintendo has 2 versions with different dimensions. However, i purchased this case, and reading the reviews it said it could fit any Nintendo 3DS XL, so I just received the case and very surprisingly it doesn't fit. Doing a little research, most places say it can fit any new Nintendo 3DS XL, however, the dimensions for the case are 6.3x3.78 (in) The Dimensions for a New Nintendo 3DS XL are 7.09x5.12 (in) and lastly a Nintendo 3DS XL 6.1x3.7 (in) and when you align the case correctly it's obvious that the New Nintendo 3DS XL system wasn't meant to fit this case. I'm going to try and return it; however, after scouring the website, I'm not sure any case has solidly been designed to fit the new Nintendo 3DS XL dimensions

When trying to put it on for the first time, it pulled the backing off my 3ds. It still went back on but now I can't ever take it off for fear it will completely rip the backing off or because there is now a space that the backing isn't attached. Very frustrated that my brand new $200 3ds was just partially ruined by a $10 case meant to protect it.

Case fits well and adds protection. Wish it had the game pockets like the one for the New 3ds XL.

bought it based on questions and answers on this site that said it fit the NEW 3ds out in Feb 2015 but it does not. the buttons do not line up. Now I have a case that doesn't fit anything and have to wait until a company puts out a case that fits for my son's new 3ds.

Does not fit 3DS XL. Just bought two of these as Christmas gifts for my little boys and just returned both of them. ALL openings on the case were completely off. Absolutely NOT designed for 3DS XL. Very disappointed. Does NOT fit 3DS XL.
