i bought this back in 2020 & the only issue i had was the usb port was flimsy, making me unable to plug it in to charge, but i was able to exchange it for another one & it worked perfectly. the battery life is phenomenal & lasts an extremely long amount of time. the sound + volume quality is also very excellent, i don't typically play my music that loud but thankfully the sound still carries very well! it's also very durable, i'm unfortunately very clumsy & have knocked over my speaker countless times but there has never been any damage (i have carpet, it has also fallen on laminate flooring & was perfectly fine). it also withstands humidity/steam really well since i mainly use it to listen to music as i shower & it has never had any issues (thankfully)

Bought a pair of these speakers eight months ago. I am not one to write a review the first day, but like to see how I like my purchase after having a chance to use it for a while. Simply put, at the price point, this unit ROCKS. I picked up two with the expectation I could pair them for portable stereo sound yet place them further apart than a boom box or something and these do not disappoint. They pair together easily, pair easily with bluetooth devices (usually an iPhone but have paired with Samsung phone and other electronic devices) and provide great sound. Especially with a wall or even a board behind them, the bass is fantastic. Highs are clear, mid-range is solid. Plenty of features and this speaker does not feel cheap or lightweight. I listen to jazz, blues, rock, alternative and classical, depending on mood and they never disappoint. I'll use them outside on the deck when entertaining or for mood music for any occasion and the battery life goes on and on, all day into the evening and night. Even been in some drizzling rain without harm, though I suspect submerging them may not be a great idea. At this price point and even a little higher, I cannot imagine someone not being pleased with the purchase. My suggestion? Buy TWO and simply enjoy.

Originally, I was looking at the Insignia Mini-Sonic speaker, but when this slightly larger speaker went on sale for less than the smaller model, I jumped on it instead. I am very glad I did! I needed a small Bluetooth capable speaker for a booth at a convention, as well as the drive there and back. Since then, I use it at home instead of my monitor's built-in speakers. Pros: Decent fidelity...enough to be heard while working a noisy expo floor full of people and foot traffic. Long battery life...I was never worried about it running out of power and only had to recharge it once. Relatively small...fits nicely inside my laptop backpack. While not "earthshaking", sonically speaking, it gives me listenable sound while driving or while in moderately noisy events. Very not-bad for $29.99! If you need something like this, I say grab one while they're still on-sale!

This is a great little Bluetooth speaker. We are using it as a mic and speaker for Zoom calls, picks up voice great, since we are so close to it we can keep the volume down and has great definition, super clear. Works great for music and can carry a good bit if you need to pump up the volume. Unless you have a really niche use this is a great product for the price and if your budget is around here this is a great place to stop

Such a nice product with clear sound and enough bass. It syncs great in Bluetooth with any products like smart TV, Phones etc. The battery stands for days in single charge. The best part we use this speaker on video calls to receive clear sound. Our best buddy listening to music while biking and also in parks.

This Bluetooth speaker provides high-quality sound at an affordable price. It is not pumping out massive base, but it's also much cheaper than other speakers on Best Buy. The price tiers increase as the quality increases, but this is totally fine for most people. If you mostly play music at a medium volume, and you want something that can fill a room with sound, this is it. This speaker works well for relaxing piano and other treble-focused music. It's much better than what your cell phone can pump out. It's easy to connect to a phone. Just turn your Bluetooth on in your phone's settings, turn the speaker on, and click the Insignia device that appears on your phone. Beep. It's connected and will play your music or videos. You can also control the volume with your phone, when you're away from the speaker. Note to future buyers, I purchased it for $35 open-box, but it occasionally goes on sale for $25 brand new! So if you set a price alert in your browser, you can be notified when the price goes down. I couldn't get a price-match down to the $25 because I bought it open-box. Something to keep in mind. In any case, it's a good speaker that is worth either amount.

The sound is great for such a simple-looking unit. I bought this one because it was 1/3 the cost of other competitors (would be 1/2 cost if all weren't on sale). My main concern without a demonstration unit was how much bass there would be. I was surprised at how full the sound is! You don't expect body-thumping bass from this style or size, but it's not tinny and just high-frequencies like some small units. Feels sturdy. Heavier than expected -- a good thing (battery, speakers?). Still plenty light for portability. Don't play football with it, but I have no doubt it will handle bumping around and jostling in a bag. Plastic casing feels thick/solid. Fabric grill, buttons, everything looks just fine. Bluetooth pairing was a piece of cake. Planned use: Christmas present, for wife to use at her office. I tested it first to see if I should give her the much more expensive models/brands (nope, no need!).

This speaker is ideal for the user who expects clear sound. The speakerphone feature works extremely well with great microphone sensitivity and duplexing that doesn't cut off the conversation if both parties try to speak at once. Voices are natural with smooth tonality. Playing music, the speaker performs as expected in lieu of it's modest price tag, generating good volume, but mediocre sound. It should suit the casual user well, but may disappoint those who expect deep full bass and extended highs. Battery life is stellar, Bluetooth is steady and reliable over the distance, and the controls are top mounted and simple to use. You don't get an a/c adaptor, but and old cellphone charger (5 volt) will suffice or it can be charged from any USB port on a PC. Pound for pound a very good value. Word of advice: due to the speaker being relative slim in depth, it can be tipped over easily, so placing it where it can't fall off a table or other high surface is a consideration.

I can't remember how many Insignia products I own, but I've been very pleased with them. From audio, video and photo equipment, they've all held up and performed well. This speaker has crazy long battery life and the sound is great. I've never played it really loud, but at low volumes, the sound is still clear and the bass will rattle the speaker. This was one of the few BT speakers I found at BB that had 2 speakers, true left and right audio, built in (most are one speaker or are not true stereo, not needed when playing loud at beaches or other activities). I use this mainly to listen to movies at night without bothering the rest of the household, able to hold it close and adjust volume as needed on the spot. Speech is clear, music and SFX are full and surround-like (true stereo). And the base rattles in my hands. Perfect for what I bought it for. I'm sure it would be just as excellent for outdoor and garage use once the weather is nice again.

I use this speaker a minimum of 2 hours daily, 7 days a week. I have not noticed that the battery is having any issues holding a charge and the charge time has remained quite consistent which is great considering that it is used so regularly. I use it indoors primarily to listen to podcasts but do listen to music on occasion and the sound quality is quite good for the size. The range for me is as advertised and can penetrate through four walls in my house with no difficulty. It has fallen a short distance onto a hard floor, about 3 feet, on a couple occasions and that did not adversely affect the speaker in any way that I can tell. I would certainly purchase this again if I had a need for a second speaker.

Lets face it. We all know that Insignia products aren't the best in the world. But they are cheap. I've been wanting a bluetooth speaker, but the price has driven me away. The cheap ones sound very cheap. So it was with a bit of trepidation that I looked at this Sonic portable. I saw the reviews, and was frankly surprised. Could this small speaker be that good? In short, yes. The sound quality is surprisingly good, especially for such a small package. Decent bass, great treble, and good volume. The speaker feels durable (although I don't plan to drop it to test that!). I drive a school bus, and I sit the speaker next to me, and listen to tunes, or sports talk radio, and it performs flawlessly. I think it sounds as good as if I bought one of the $150 name brand models! I'm very happy with this purchase, and will probably order another one soon!

I had purchased a Audio-Technica - ATLP60XBT Bluetooth Stereo Turntable and was looking for a Bluetooth speaker that didn't take up much space. I was initially researching speakers that were in the $100+ range, expecting that I really needed to for good sound, but as I read reviews, I saw this Insignia Sonic. I realized I didn't need to spend as much money and this should work just great - which is does. It takes up little space. It's rechargeable so I don't need to worry about cords (except when charging). The sound is good and since it's in my office, I don't need it really loud - so I can't say to how loud it gets. It looks nice. It holds a charge for a long time.

I was disappointed with the bluetooth speaker(s) that I was using at work. The sound quality and/or the battery life on my other BT enabled speakers did not live up to the hype printed on the packaging. I stumbled upon the Insignia Sonic portable speaker while shopping for a better BT speaker. The price was right and a sales associate informed me that he himself purchased one and was happy with its performance. I was NOT disappointed with my decision to purchase the Sonic portable. The sound quality is great for the price and its size. I was so impressed with its performance that after I went back to Best buy and purchased a second one for true stereo sound reproduction, and I was not disappointed! The pairing of the two speakers was smooth and easy connection to my Galaxy device was also quick and hassle free. I definitely will and have recommended this great little speaker combo to my friends and coworkers. All who have experienced the sound of these little firecrackers were also impressed. AWESOME PRODUCT for their size and price!! I'm getting two more for my garage.

First off, the sound quality is great! Highs,mids and bass is all there. It can really put out some sound. Gets loud enough it could fill a pretty large room or even a garage so in the bathroom it REALLY gets the job done with ease. Initial quality and impressions are that it is well made. I have not tested the "Water Resistance" past touching it with wet hands but I would have to believe the claims. The reason I am currently giving it 4/5 stars is because an incident in where it would not pair to another phone when the phone it is paired to (but not currently connected to or being used by) is in use (i.e. phone call) I am not sure if I was mucking up the pairing process (although I had successfully done it at least once) or it's a bug/limitation which is entirely first world spoiled crap but never the less, that is what I ran into. TLDR: Amazing speaker / don't try to pair it while the currently paired phone is on a phone call. / Would definitely recommend

It's a good Bluetooth speaker. It's nice and loud charge is quickly super portable waterproof fun to listen perfect shower speaker.

First, I bought the smaller version of this speaker and it's great but I wanted something louder for when I ride my bike so I upgraded to this speaker. I can't stress this enough but this speaker is GREAT. It pairs to my phone in less than 10 seconds of turning it on, the battery life is amazing. I bought it nearly 2 weeks ago and I haven't had to charge it yet. The speaker itself is loud and clear. The price was great, the sleek and light weight design is wonderful, so I'd definitely buy again. The only thing I wish it had is a battery percentage indication on your phone, other than that I have no complaints!

Great sound, compact, water resistant and long lasting battery. Great for stocking stuffer. Christmas right around the corner.
